just wanted to point out that THIS is the way you make an enemy control a city. whole squads garrisoning a couple of key buildings - like medical stations, HQs, maybe weapons caches or warehouses, some houses along the main road and some on the outskirts. and not putting like 2-3 squads of 8 bots over the whole city, one per building where you have to clear everything or you risk getting killed when regrouping before rolling out to the next objective.
Telling to a combatant where the enemy could be or such things makes you a combatant, so you lose the civilian status by doing that, AKA they can shoot you.
Honestly, my inner GM (Years of doing 'RP' ops and events in various team-based games) nearly blew a gasket when that guy tried to have you detained immediately after respawning. Now I could have it wrong, but it legitimately seemed like he just up and respawned, then saw you and went "Yo detain that man" even though he himself acknowledged that he could not actually state what you did because it'd be meta.
He probably could of used the excuse that the civie was a danger to himself by running around in the open battlefield, so he could detain him until its safe
That warehouse grenade was absolute evil, I have no idea how I or anyone else survived that considering we were already in the shit from when you ungarrisoned the dudes in it Great op
The blue shirt guy stayed away, kept his distance, he was suspicious from the start and he was the only one who got hit , talk about being that unlucky LOL
i remember in my milsim group i watched this civilian run over to dead opfor bodies and proceed to pick up one of their guns and I proceeded to smoke him for that
hes bringing back a sense of fun and randomness to a game that is being treated like a mil-sim by people who were undercut for some branch of military. its a game ffs take the L respawn and move on. some grown ass men acting like the game is real life is wack i mean i get rp but god damn bro dont be a buzzkill for some lighthearted fun by someone who is obviously allowed to do such
i played as a civilian for my company when they went through some urban environment training. walking around lookin sus and i walked into a building i knew they wher behind so i walked over to the back door opened it then slammed it shut scarring the fuck out of them. they come in clear the building i have my hands up and no weapon and when the last guy stops paying me attention i sprint out of the back door make it 20ft and hear a shot which "kills" me and i lay on the grass takeing photos
I expected that guy you told "You will not get us all" to stay right there, but instead he did exactly the right thing immediately: GTFO :D And 1 of them headshot you without taking forever :D
ive always wanted to do arma stuff like this, sadly due to me being trans im obviously not comfortable doing things which requires voice communication which arma sorta relies on, sad
Arma is similar to life in that a lot of people will be chill and accepting but there will also be very vocal jerk holes. If it helps, there are plenty people who rp a different gender than their real one, usually for a laugh, but hearing voices that dont match traditional gender roles isnt unknown. You can rp whatever you want, and you dont have to share any irl info about yourself. I won't lie say that you won't interact with some bad people, but you shouldn't let that stop you from living your best life and getting to play a fun game. It may take a few tries, but theres a place for everyone.
