Alhamdulillah an honour to have witnessed this beautiful gathering, as the famous poet-scholar Amīr Khusrau of Delhi wrote, “Science is like water in a cask: draw ten sound conclusions, and its volume decreases. Poetry, however, is an ever-flowing spring-and should you delve into it even a hundred times, it cannot diminish.”
Deeply moved by this discussion and poetry reading, a great combination. Both comments and poems are full of teaching stories from shaykhs and mystics to help us on our way to fana, how through the 'art of remembrance' we disappear into Allah Sublime Almighty. I would like to remind us that also this seeking through poetry is pursued by old followers with hairs coming out of their ears and between their eyes like myself. Baraka Blue had a tasbeeh around his neck. He knows that the search and poetry is grounded on sincere worship, through endless remembrance or zikr symbolised by the tasbeeh. And the words about the heart's light were sweet to my sometimes gloomy heart. Allah bless our endeavours of love and creativity now and into the future.
MaShaAllah… Subhanallah… Do it for Allah… Allah Hu Akbar! A profound reminder for a soul like me who forgets that she has forgotten. Jazakumullah Khayr ya Akhee. May Allah unites All our hearts in Remembering The One in every breath. Salaam ♥️💚🤍 اللهم صلي على محمد وعلى اله محمد 👆🏽
Lovely stuff Mashallah! The words ‘what you are seeking is seeking you’, I experience this quite literally. As is said here ‘Allah want to be known’ . And when I seek and find him so clearly, without a doubt and hear his voice then I know that what I am seeking is seeking me. The dynamic is so powerful. As are the dreams of my heart. I can’t help but feel that they are seeking me out to realise them. But only when they are from Allah! I found this talk super affirming as an artist. Thank you 🙏
