"Never focus on the defender, focus on the rim." Thanks bro I now have that mentality with every shot I take. Surprised how good I'm shooting during the game now. Kind of seems like practice, or if I'm shooting by myself.
Great video, very informative. I think you should do a "Basics of shooting" video just to show your hand placement on the ball, how your elbow should be, what you look at when you shoot etc.... I am a coach and I am always looking for different ways to teach my kids how to shoot. A basics of shooting video would be great for my team and for me, thanks man.
I remember telling one of the younger dudes I used to ball with back home to “ghost” the defender or basically see through him by only focusing on the rim. His shot became automatic and damnit when I had to play against him it sucked. He could pull up even with my outstretched hands and the shot was money. Lethal Shooter’s techniques were working way before I ever found them. Money!
Nasty but classy!! I'd like to see the mid range off the ball, or even the classic fade away, but for the most part, i respect the break down on how you presented the moves and fundamentals!
I thought I was a good shooter until I stumbled across your IG haha! For real tho Lethal, thanks for the workout ideas. DUring this COVID shit, I didn't get a chance to workout w/ my team so once my local YMCA opened up i got the chance to kinda relive the old days; lifting-shots. Using a lot of your stuff from IG!
Can you put together a video of how to properly release the ball with follow through ie. which finger should be the last finger on the ball. And where to aim for when shooting. Thanks and keep up the great work 💯
Thanks guys I mean I shoot pretty good I just wanna be more consistent I videoed my self and slowed it down and I have a bad thumb push that I didn't even realize I was doing
That seems(sp?) tip is on point. Shot off the dribble last week feeling on the seems and was surprised when i made two shots in a row. Thanks bro! Got to get better at my dribbling though. Well check out JFB Athletics!
I have all the dribble moves used in this video, but my arm isn't strong enough to pull up, and then release while I'm in the air. I don't think I have to release in the air but it would be helpful since I am most likely going to be playing against bigger defenders next season.
@lethal shooter I have serious doubt how do you focus on the rim when you're coming at full speed and trying to pull up and shoot over a guy? I always thought that practice shooting from that location so that in game the shot would be automatic through muscle memory
amazing video i appreciate u doing this series. How about doing a error spotting video? Like we gon send you 20 sec video or sth for you to check out and maybe analyze what the person is doing wrong or do it with the pros. Anyways keep on producing these videos
Of the stand im a pretty good shooter, very good actually, off the dribble I'm a pretty good shooter too, the thing is a lot of coaches have brought up about the way I completely swing my legs when shooting of the dribble, I argue with them saying my upper body and shoulders are in line with the basket. The thing is I have a trial in the summer in Budapest (I'm from the UK) to go and join Real Madrids academy for basketball. Do you think the scouts at the trial will care about my swinging an kicking legs.
Can you please make a video on how to be more consistent? It may be boring but right now i'm a good shooter, but my shot is not consistent. Like form shooting and proper form for a player who lacks upper body strength for long range shots without pushng the ball. Thank you.
Lethal please can you have a lesson on the basics of the jumpshot. I don't have the technique so learning the other advanced stuff is useless for now. Please lethal!
when I shoot my right elbow(i'm right handed) is pointing a bit to the side + i tend to shoot from the side of my head. im not a great shooter but neither a bad shooter. do you think i have to adjust it? because every time I try to hold it inside I can feel the tense in my back muscle and I have to force it inside.
Teach us how to shoot... some of us don't know how to shoot the ball... my form is not consistent it will go in 20% of the time... sometime it hits off the backboard or it will hit off the front of the rim... just want to learn how to shoot the ball... Thanks😊
Does Shooting of the sims make the shot better or does it improve ur back spin ? Do u have to shoot of the sims for more accuracy or is it a prefer thing ? How do u practice getting ur hands to the sims while sizing up
Whenever I shoot, I notice that in some situations I push the ball off the side of my hand, which causes the shot to be off and have a lack in power. I would also like to find a different form that works for me, but whenever I try I just can't stick to it. Any tips on hand placement or finding a form that works? I'm a 13 year old kid by the way.
I have many questions I'm 16 years old I'm not the biggest kid I'm a 5'9" point guard/shooting guard and I've been getting bigger in muscle wise and my form is still like middle school type ya know where you kinda have to put some power into it like lamelo well mines sorta like his but I want mine to look something like yours or currys how would I develop that? I really wanna know I have the handles and can easily get into a perfect position to shoot just I can't make it because I release the ball REALLY fast
