NYC Audubon kicked off its 2023-2024 Lecture Series with an appreciation of the birds we encounter right where we are! Dr. Joan Strassmann joined us for our first lecture to speak about her book, Slow Birding: The Art and Science of Enjoying the Birds in Your Own Backyard.
On Tuesday, November 14th, Dr. Strassmann shared facts and personal stories about just a few of the species highlighted in her book. She also offered some advice on how to slow bird wherever you are.
