Baakari Wilder taps it out on the TEDxFoggyBottom stage to Thelonious Monk's "Epistrophy" highlighting the art of tap dancing.
Baakari Wilder is a native of the DC metropolitan area. Theatre and dance became his passion at an early age. He began working professionally in theatres in the area such as Folger Theatre (The Merry Wives Of Windsor) and Ford’s Theatre (Conrack) which eventually led him to Broadway in a starring role in the musical production Bring in Da Noise Bring in Da Funk.
Recent credits include Bay Theatre’s production of Master Harold and the Boys, Unexpected Stage Company’s production of Trifles, and Spooky Action Theatre’s production of The Water Engine. Baakari has a BA in Theatre at the University of Maryland at College Park.
