Michael Winslows story is so heartwarming and tragic. His wife died after they had kids. He stopped acting to be a father. He had enough money at the time to hire people to step in so he could continue his career but he had enough human decency to understand that would've been the wrong decision. He sacrificed his career for his kids. Great guy. Real role model that new generations of people have unfortunately forgotten.

@@redneckgirl2894 He played in some more movies. With all this technology they started using their own soundboard. I watched some of his stand up shows. They were good.
I got to see him around the same time in a comedy club in Seattle. Guy was hilarious live, his Jimmy Hendrix Star Spangled Banner is legen (wait for it) dary.
“Imhavingtroublewiththeradarsir!” “You’re what?” “Imhavingtroublewiththeradarsir!” “What’s he saying?” “Imhavingtrou-“ “Oh god damn it I’m right here put the microphone down!” “I’m having trouble with the radar sir!”
I met michael winslow about two years ago, and it was the most fun and awesome experience. He is such a funny and awesome, guy. The most talented actor ive ever met.
@@gamingwithjohnrusso3385 that’s right. Michael Leslie Winslow (born September 6, 1958) is an American actor, comedian and beatboxer billed as The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects for his ability to make realistic sounds using only his voice. He is best known for his roles in all seven Police Academy films as Larvell Jones.
I saw Michael Winslow when he performed in Sydney at the Entertainment Centre back in the 80's. He was brilliant! I'd definitely see him again if he ever decided to perform in Australia again ❤
Can we talk about how this incredible actor was in a league of his own? Probably one of the main things I remember about these movies and I don’t recall seeing anyone else as talented as him in this skill.
The art of Michael Winslow. He's a legendary voice actor, actually making all of these sounds! He was also in Spaceballs, super funny and talented dude
Just about out of everyone he was my most favorite in police Academy. I could turn that on and every time I see him, he put a smile on my face.❤ 80s&90s
*wipes finger across the jam to taste it* Raspberry. There only one man who will dare give me the raspberry......Lonestar *gets knocked out with the camera*
Michael Winslow. Incredibly talented. Saw him at a concert festival fairly recently (Coachella, I think?); he was on a golf cart riding around making sound effects like this and making folks laugh. It was amazing Bc quite a few people actually knew who he was from the movies- or even by name- and you could tell it just made his day. He looks and sounds fantastic.
the first OG sound effect beatboxer on history, but Now there's many beatboxer that are underrated also like D-Low, Colaps and Napom (Swiss Beatbox Community)
I was blessed and cursed to meet this Wonderfully talented man in the 80's!!😊 I only say cursed due to the circumstances being embarrassing in a restaurant, involving my German mother... 😅 I say blessed because he ended up sitting with us and having coffee... He even signed a decaffeinated coffee coaster... Yes, a looongggg time ago 😜
Michael Winslow was so dope asl with the sound fx.. Saw him when i was in the audience on a pilot game show in 98' Orlando Studios FL when I was a kid...I was super excited...
Back in the days this guy was my hero. I thought smth was wrong with me cause I made these type of noises as well. And then the movie came out. That was a great moment for me.
I had the extreme pleasure and privilege to see thie fabulous Muchael Winslow perform live, and then to meet and have time to talk with him after the show. A very funny, charming man. A loving family man. A wonderfully talented actor. Thanx so very much, good Sir, for the magic and memories.
This guy is why I loved watching Police Academy. The show was funny enough in its own, but every time this guy came on the screen I was locked in! Was always absolutely floored by his talent. 😂
I actually knew a kid like this named Tristin. He played a lot of video games, specifically COD and Gears of War. He was really good at doing weapon sound effects. I hope he’s alright now.
Michael Winslow is one of Humanity's greatest gems! Great in many ways... a father, the best of them! As a kid, this actor was a favorite for my younger brothers, and they'd always raz me while I was eating.. lol I didn't really think it was funny then, but I'm crackin up right now thinking about their laughter!!
