Did someone order a McFonky? Here's an experimental remix of George Duke featuring some improvised jazz solos by yours truly!
George Duke was my introduction to contemporary jazz fusion music and is my main inspiration in piano/keyboard performances. The remix only came about because I found a recovered VHS video on RU-vid of a Masterclass he did in 1989. It was on that video, I found a treasure trove of piano samples and dialogue/vocal samples to play around with.
I hope this remix inspires you to take a listen to some of the underated, but insane catalog of fun and inventive music that George composed and released over the course of his adventurous life.
This remix is a labour of love, taking a very long time to make; with Logic Pro crashing every time I wanted to make a single change to the project! I guess it couldn't handle the funk!
