Fun but based on incorrect initial data. England's captain in the 1882 match that they lost at the Oval was A.N. Hornby not Ivo Bligh who didn't take over until that winters tour of Australia.

1882 wasn't just the loss of a cricket match. It was a turning point. A symbol of change, a beginning of the end. The inevitable downfall of the Brittish Empire. Australia was the catalyst for it's demise.

A bit over the top, but since I'm an Indian cricket fan I couldn't care less about the Brit-Aussie rivalry or its purported origin a la Stephen Fry's steamy love story.
