As an owner of the Odyssey 55, my mind is BLOWN again!!! FSR you guys are killing the GAME!! Some folks are questioning the ladder? The ladder is bomb proof! is super sturdy and easy to deploy and stays put in high winds. Im super jealous of the new Aspen series, but love my O55!! GREAT JOB FSR!!! Keep it up and keep elevating!!
I placed my order this week! I'm looking forward to it. The design is perfect for the roof of my Jeep JKU! I have the GOSFR High Country 63" on my overland trailer set up and I love it, I just needed something smaller with less weight and with less wind resistance when traveling alone. I have a Colorado trip coming up in August, I hope to receive it in time. One issue I'm having this time around is getting anyone to answer my phone calls. No answer and no call backs. I'm sure you guy's are busy with the expo going on, but I would appreciate a call back.
Looks awesome. My biggest question is, does it actually seal well? Every wedge style tent I’ve had ends up leaking. This is a huge deal when it rains a lot out here in the south and the tent is on a daily driver so it lives in the elements. The current tent I have (I won’t name brands) leaked so bad when closed that there’s now a ton of mold.
are your RTT products made by WIld Land, China and rebranded as FSR with slight modifications or material change? they look just the same! Especially the aluminium clampshell frame are exactly the same corner to corner. This one in particular is the same as Wild Land Bush Cruiser and the other FSR clampshell RTT looks exactly like Wild Land Desert Cruiser and few other models too... But hey, i like your 'improved" version and the choice of color and material too!
Or you can just look at the picture of the Wild Land Bush Cruiser and see that it doesn't incorporate the U-bar popout design into the tent - just the awning. But probably coming out of the same factory
I hope Freespirit Recreation is a better company that it's web page depicts, as in no speicifcations listed, and no price information. I also wonder about customer services, as in they do not have a direct customer service number to call.
I have not seen any picture showing the fly that covers the side windows/doors. Can somebody describe it? Also what is the peak height in the two versions. In their site something is wrong with dimensions. What is the base size of the two versions, this when closed and when open? My guess is it should be the same when closed and open, but their numbers show difference. The person in the video speaks about a super thick mattress. But it should be only 1.25 inches, is this so? Thanks.
Most tents have a 2” mattress. What I highly recommend is getting a self inflatable mattress on Amazon. While you’re setting let the mattress inflate. But I wouldn’t be swayed by the mattress.
Dam... Had the same question. Was hoping the aluminum rails that make up the structure of the bottom would reach from backbone to backbone and be able to just attach it directly and take off the pioneer platform to save some weight and clearance. Someone really needs to make a tent that attaches directly to the backbone - would be cheaper than a full rack, lighter and shorter.
@@gofsr I am currently in the market for a rtt and the Aspen is very appealing. But, I would like to leave the bedding inside (down bags; nothing too thick). Do you have any updates on the "new bed system?" Would this be an option for this tent or what is your vision and timeline?
