Thats easy to say but when you have bills waiting and jobs being hard to find, you'll be surprised what you put up with even though you know it's unhealthy, that's why it's relatable.

Yeah, it was clear her job was an absolute nightmare! All that picking up a few crumbs and some trash...photocopying...she even had to use a sponge and clean a plate. And then a mean lady came in and put her mug down and LEFT IT! Also she had to answer phones and her boss was angry at her! No one should have to work at a job like that! No seriously, this film was an embarrassment and a failed opportunity for making a real statement.

This movie made me realize just how much secretaries tend to have to learn a variety of skills. Legal shorthand, accounting, how to deal with people, ethics, and they learn other skills, too, since a secretary is a job that is required at most companies in a variety of fields.

This encapsulated the life of a newbie employee. The HR scene is the most unsettling scene in this film because it hits home if you have been in the same situation before.

Because audience don’t want to watch films like these, they want happy stuff like Pure Flix or comic book films or ridiculous romcom that are so predictable. This is the type of movie that shows more of reality, normal day at work. I know it's not your regular thrilling movie you casually see, and most wouldn't enjoy it but as an adult this gives personally gives me a realization of what i should do with my life. I'm currently in college if i had to pick a job, i should pick the one i must truly would enjoy otherwise I'm gonna end up like the protagonist in this movie sorta.

A few people in the comments thought this was boring and lackluster because of its slow pace, but I disagree. I was engaged the entire time and even found myself holding my breath a few times. It’s mundane, but that’s the point. Idk I liked it very much.

From what I understand her boss is most likely sexually abusing a bunch of women and then paying them off to never talk about it again. Eventually, she can't just watch him do this to all these women, and therefore, goes to the press about it.

Thrilling nail biting stuff! Was on the edge of my seat most of the movie!!! Please make "The Assistant 2"!!! My favorite part was the time (about 0:35- 1:22:00) when i was considering shooting myself in the face to make it stop. It felt like someone with corona had sneezed in my face multiple times and i was dying a slow and painful death. A unique feeling i never knew i would experience in life. Great job! It takes truly amazing directors and even editors to allow the audience to feel this way. Keep up the awesome movie making skills and talent! Best director ever!!!
