Hello Sir! Thanks for the video! Are you able to give some information about its performance in Path of Exile? I'm currently rocking an RX480 and would like to know how much additional performance I can expect from an upgrade to 3070/6800. I just can't manage to get any information about hardware performance in PoE for any components. It's probably not just gonna scale linearly like in other games. I would like to know at which level of GPU-performance I'm going to run into a CPU- or Server-bottleneck.

Hey yeah, was wondering did I forget something :D I did a test similar to what I did within the RTX 3080 review and at those same settings in Vastiri Desert waypoint I have just 105FPS.. pretty huge difference for whatever reason. I did also a test in ACT IV town waypoint with both cards and the difference there was more of an expected result, the RTX 3080 was hovering around 95-100FPS while the RTX 3070 is hovering around 70-80FPS.

@@TheTanelChannel Wow, thats a pretty significant difference. Guess, I now got the permission to spend a fortune on a new GPU. 1080p ain't pretty - even in PoE. Im getting 60-80FPS with low 1080p settings. Still wondering tho why this community hasn't figured out a way (or isn't intrested?) to benchmark hardware. Could run delirious Tropical Islands with certain scarabs to give an impression of performance between setups when shit hits the fan. I don't even know if there is a performance gap between nVidia and AM GPUs at a similar price point.

You can change fan-curve in MSI afterburner so that the fans spin and cool during idle. I was able to get 28 Celsius at idle with 20% fan speed. This is the best value card EVER.

this is good for 4k 60fps gameplay like console. if u just wanna chill and have fun, very good 1080p card, run all games at max at 144+

Can you please do a 1440p test with this card? Hopefully with Red Dead 2? Your PC setup is pretty much the same as mine. I too have 10700k, but 3600mhz DDR4 for ram and my GPU is the EVGA BLACK 3070.

I just bought this same GPU second hand and it was reaching 100 degrees, I had to put new thermal paste on the GPU. The old thermal paste had dried up, sounds like yours has too. Replace the old thermal paste.

@@egoist_29 yeah, new thermal paste and an undervolt will do wonders to this card. I have the same model and undervolting it makes it sits around 60c while playing, it's amazing

I think I have never used a card that doesn´t have coil whine. Expect to get it at high FPS. Yes it has coil whine while playing games.

Jesus, hope no scammerino lol. Some guys here in Estonia, shop owners, made pre-orders for PS5-s.. people ordered them. PS5-s arrived, the shop owner sold them for 2x profit and told customers that their order will be done in Q2 2021 :))

3.0, it doesn´t matter for a videocard, performance is 99% same!

Everything is so cool about the card, but I must criticize something. This is nearly a 1000 $ card, yet it as only a small RGB. Asus should have given it a more sophisticated RGB view, this card deserves it.

Yeah it is not the prettiest thing out there.. but the cooling solution is top notch. I recently got to try out ZOTAC 3080.. and my god.. temps were 10c higher and it was like a fighter jet flying in my PC when doing any gaming, horrible.

That's their premium ROG STRIX line also available for you sir, this is 2nd tier TUF Gaming with a bit lower quality & industrial looks line :-)

3070 is a 1440p card. you need a 3080 for 4k

I mean you´re not wrong but turning some settings to mediums you can definetly play all games at 4K with no issues at all.

@Ladioz if you go for 3070 you must upgrade the cpu if you stay on 1080p, 9400+rtx 3070= huge bottleneck on 1080p the things are better on 1440p, you can upgrade to an i7 9700k on your mobo , or building something new.

@Ladioz if you own already a z390 mobo go for 9700k or 9900k and a decent cpu cooler of course for those monsters, it is cheaper than a new system with amd 5600x and a good b550 motherboard, the decision is yours

I feel like a lot of us should wait for the RTX 4000 series since prices seem to be dropping the more the technology is developed and the more it's developed the more powerful it gets and the more we wait the more software will support RTX

Yeah keep waiting and you Will be empty handed for Life, the 3000 series just released, of course theres going to be better technology in The future, but hey thats how tech works, you can use The same stupid argument when 4000 series launchs maybe you should wait for 5000 series when that happens, and then when 5000 series arrives you should wait for 6000 series, see what i mean?

@@MRKIKE44 No i don't see what you meant. RTX is still so new and there's just a lack of support for it, it also heavily depends on the person as someone with an old GPU who has the money for a 3060 Ti or something would definitely benefit but for people like me who already have a fairly high-end GPU it wouldn't make any sense to upgrade just to get real-time raytracing.

2:52 Thats wrong, the cooler of the 3080 has more fins, so it has more cooling surface

I had an Asus 2060 Super Strix card with dual BIOS for quiet mode. It couldn't keep the card cool below 55 degrees Celsius in passive mode. As a result, it would spin and stop all the time. When it spins and stops, it always makes a loud clicking sound. I think this card is no better with this problem.
