WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly cable access television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

@@jgunn03 Nothing wrong or issues of equality on admiring persons' looks or appearance' either male or female, giving or receiving. Providing not demeaning or meant in derogatory fashion. We both like to give and receive compliments. Lighten up #1.

@@jgunn03 how do you turn a compliment into sexism and why do you think you speak on behalf of the entire female population? Personal anecdotes are not an argument and I guess you would know that since you're watching the Atheist Experience which teaches critical thinking above all which makes me wonder why you would say things like that in the first place. My conclusion: You're a troll.

@@jgunn03 Mens looks are "noticed" just as often as female ones, the difference is that men are more prone to point it out. Its genetical and there is nothing wrong about it in the first place. Claiming that youre treated as eye-candy first is an empty statement. Looks are the first thing your brain processes, our visuals senses are our most prominent. There is nothing wrong with noticing someones looks first simply because it doesnt mean you reduce that person no a mere sexual object. You cant go around and claim you know whats going on in everyones mind. Next subject: You misunderstood me completely, I was not talking about atheists in general when talking about logic. I said that the hosts of the atheist experience, most of all, promote critical/logical thinking and I was implying that people who watch the show would be less tempted to construct their arguments with fallacies which have been pointed out countless times by this show. Moving on: You will find idiots in every corner of the internet even among atheists. The affiliation is not the problem. Also, I'm not sure if I understood that right but are you saying there are benefits to the hijab? I'm not claiming there aren't but thats not the point that matters. As long as It is used as a tool of oppression (or when its forced upon people) no benefit can justify this and it should be relentlessly criticized and not promoted. Final point: Offense is taken and not given. Rather teach society to handle these things better. Dont raise victims. The world is cruel and beautiful alike and youre setting your kids up for failure if you only show them one side of it. I'm not saying you shouldnt listen to people who were hurt. Thats what friends and family are for. But dont expect the world to bend to your needs. Youre approaching this issue from the wrong side of the argument.

Russell, no one id suggesting going ''all the way to self sacrifice''. And you ARE edging right into right-wing extremism. As I posted a bit ago, CAPITAL emphasis is all about profiteering. The others' concern individuals and groups of. . . people.
