Arabs did have a part in the Atlantic slave trade. Typically, east coast prisoners of war (or simply the victims of raids to get slaves) where marched to the barracoons of Mozambique, on the Indian Ocean, where they were sold to Portuguese slave traders. Then they were loaded on ships bound for the Americas, usually Brazil. Of course Arabs also bought slaves for their own use in the Arabian peninsula, and for much longer. The last big batch of African slaves landed in Saudi Arabia in 1948. The Saudis didn't outlaw slavery till 1962. Consider that the next time a Muslim tells you that only through Islam will the black man find salvation.

The problem is, slavery is not at odds with Christian ideals. In fact, the Bible supports slavery. No logical calisthenics needed. In Paul's letters to the Ephesians, Paul motivates early Christian slaves to remain loyal and obedient to their masters like they are to Christ. Ephesians 6:5-8 Paul states, “Slaves, be obedient to your human masters with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ” which is Paul instructing slaves to obey their master. Similar statements regarding obedient slaves can be found in Colossians 3:22-24, 1 Timothy 6:1-2, and Titus 2:9-10. Why don't you try actually reading your holy book?

He says that American slavery was far worse than African slavery. There has never been slavery like American slavery. No slavery has ever cut babies out of the stomachs of mothers to watch them die or had the logical tarring, feathering, and setting fire to the strongest men of the bunch, or had the systematic erasing of a whole group of people's history or the raping of the all of the women and children. No form of slavery has relied so strongly on dissension and brainwashing. No form of slavery has founded a brand new branch of science (phrenology) to justify what they were doing to other human beings. I would also implore you to read The Willie Lynch Letter to understand just how cruel the system worked. You may not understand the American horror story that was American slavery and that's okay. But please do some research, read some books by someone who went through slavery and see it through their eyes before you make these kinds of statements...

The first cannot be provided well enough from African soil, whereas in industrial-age-Europe, the land yielded enough to feed the giant centres of industry. The African countries wouldn't have been able to step over the threshold of the industrial age without import of crops from elsewhere, even though they technically also had natural resources in abundance.

House slaves were more often purchased from "loose packers" because they were in better condition, while field hands needed to be as cheap as possible for the plantation owners, so they preferred to buy those from "tight packers."

Slavery were dragged across the Sahara to the ports of Libya and Tunisia, many dying along the way.Only the fittest made it to the trading block.

Many Africans at the time of independence lacked education and oversight to keep the country stable. Just like Europe in the 1800s to 1900s, dictatorships and wars happen all the time and in Africa usually there's a cycle of brutal regimes overthrown by bloody revolutions and civil war sprouting across the country as they fight over for political and economic benefits. You usually see this pattern in fact in all civilizations of the world. Asia had them in the 1900s too and some still exist today, South America also had them, it's just a matter of which had a headstart first. Africa was rather late to have it as they were stable under the iron fist rule of the colonial powers. It will take time for them, but they will eventually develop into stable countries like the others today, unless the UN steps in and takes over and govern the countries correctly and teach and train the people to create a better democracy for decades until they are ready. Some countries like Kenya, Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa are showing a promising future for their continent. They're not perfect but they are steadily growing as to become political and economically stable countries.

That really depends on the region. Sub Saharan Africa doesn't have a lot of Arabs until you start getting to northern Senegal. Since slaves were taken and shipped from all along the west coast, it is patently untrue to say they were mostly Arabs. Mostly, like the video says, they were regional and tribal kings and chiefs, which the majority in the Mano and Niger river basins were definitely not Arab.
