Remember this game really well . my first time at Wembley,,, was travelling over from Ireland to see Southampton who I support as they played Aston Villa the day before and was offered a ticket to go to the Auto Windscreens Shield final the day after.. a great day out ..
I think we should have Celtic teams in Football League Trophy. The Scottish have allowed English, Welsh, Irish, and Ulster sides in the Scottish Challenge Cup. So how about alolowing all Scottish Premier sides who have not qualified for Europe, plus a selection of Welsh Premier sides into the trophy. The trophy could have Scottish sides playing in the northern section, plus Welsh sides playing in the Southern section. It would be great fun to have cross border games on top of domestic and European football. I want the Welsh and Scottish to keep their own leagues, but to have cross border cups on top of that.
