There is no such thing as a hyLoid bone lol its pronounced hyoid bone. It's the bone ur head sits on at the base of the skull. U likely came up w that pronunciation bcuza the way the dr wrote the word tho, I'm sure lol. Happens all the time. The hyoid is only able to be broken (in normal circumstances i mean. This is by no means a "normal" way for humans to die) during a strangulation. In fact, the hyoid being broken is a forensics pathologists tell-tail sign of murder via strangulation....there's no other way to break it!! Oh, except helicopter crashes lol Another tell tail strangulation sign is that hemorrhaging u mentioned. Member u said his eye (sclera is what it's called) is brown but had red blood or sumthin?? Icr exactly which words u used but...the whites of the eyes will have hemorrhages on it-- peticial hemorrhaging it's called. We get that from being strangled and sometimes from being bashed in the back of the head really really hard(by a baseball bat--like THAT kinda hard!😳😖) or in rare instances, severe vomiting (I've seen this IRL bfor, they're very pretty in color n shape) Jic uwtk lol no real reason, just passing info along to the next woman who shows strength😉👊🏻❤

As an emergency responder and professor, I can honestly say that I have seen more scenes like this than I can count. Early in my career it was difficult to cope with. By the time that I retired, I had seen so much that I was just numb to it all. It took several years to recover and begin to feel what normal people feel. Just as in this sad accident....its a horrible sight that no one should ever see. Don't get me wrong.....I don't regret my career, quite the contrary. I would do it again in a heartbeat 💓 💗 💕. I pray for the families that have lost loved ones everyday. I did my best to care for my patients and their loved ones.......sometimes I would give medical assistance to patients who were very obviously gone in order to comfort their families....it was a way to care for and assist devastated families. In my heart, those families were just as important as their injured family member was. Please be gentle with those devastated family members......they are fragile and deserve our love and care. Y'all be safe and have a blessed day.

Knowing how the state of bodies can be after such a violent event still doesn't prepare anyone to hear about the level of trauma inflicted. Thinking about what his body actually looked like based on the description is...ugh. I'm very thankful his wife didn't have to identify him or their daughter.

I found the autopsy report of the whole nine passengers and I'm still thinking about it because the disintegration of the human body on impact is a thing that it is hard to comprehend. Nobody in the helicopter felt anything at all. No suffering, the lights just turned off.
@@EdwardHill-oh3vr Nope . the lungs got exposed to the fire. Nobody breathe smoke. I can't tell you here the reason but in short if there's no brain inside the skull, there's no way that the person can breathe.

Tough to watch because it should have never been made. @joe b clearly there is some natural human interest in autopsies and what happens during death including traumatic deaths. If not then noone would be a medical examiner. If information like this isn't interesting to you (btw it's disturbing to us all but still interesting) then perhaps just don't watch it. 👍
I was playing call of duty when one of my friends yelled out that Kobe died. We all shrugged it off in the group and he proceeded to choke up and double down. Sure enough checked social media and there it was. I was in complete disbelief and couldn’t process what had just happened. I had to go to work the same day at a sports apparel store. We had a TV in the store and so many people walked in just to watch what was going on. I’ve never seen so many people cry in public before in my life. Got home later and let it all out. Nightmare of a day and still can’t get over him and his daughter are gone. Rest in Peace and God Bless their souls.

Yup, it’s not like you see in films where people roll out of cars and stuff with hardly a scratch. This would educate a lot of people I think to how horrible high impact injuries are. Might help prevent drunk or drug driving or motorcycling which can be almost as bad as air accidents. Very well done for highlighting this Spooky.
When we start believing stories designed to be sold to people who have not practiced things like vector calculus, which I did not, we are in danger of losing our minds out of things we should not have to lose our minds out of at all. It feels like being caught in a Hercule Poirot episode, where Poirot is told not to investigate something which needs to be investigated, and no matter how he tries, he begins to realize that his case has taken him to a dark route where the society he has found himself in has lost its ability to use discernment. That terrifies him, so he makes a little note about it in his diary.
And to think hell and the lake of fire and brimstone are much worse yikes In the blink of an eye he ended up in the eternal fire just like the rich man and just like his father the serpent will be also with his little serpents

Wow, I just heard Kobes' birth date of August 1978. I was a teen having a blast shooting pool that summer. RIP Kobe and all that lost their lives that day.
It happened so suddenly I don't think any of them knew what was about to happen due to intense fog. The Pilot was so disoriented he thought he was climbing in altitude when in actuality they were rapidly descending. It gives me some comfort knowing that they had no idea what was about to happen. Kobe and his daughter were probably in good spirits looking forward to her upcoming game then suddenly it was lights out without any knowledge or pain.
Only GOD knows but I pray that Kobe, his daughter and those others had accepted JESUS bcz Heaven & Hell do exist and facing REALITY after death is TOO LATE. JESUS IS our only HOPE. We may THINK we can live in this life without HIM, but we can NOT afford to leave here without HIM! I think the greatest gift any parent can give their child is SHARING JESUS with them - it will affects/effects their life beyond the grave.

Rough to watch and I'm sure even rougher to go through and upload but I and I'm sure hundreds of thousands of other people are very grateful to you for your research on this horrifc accident.
What scares me the most about this autopsy is the way he is "present" but not. There are quite literally pieces of him left that were intact enough for a successful identification, however, so little was left that his total body weight was a little over half his entire body weight. Now here's something that really hit me on a level that I've never identified before hearing about other deaths: this autopsy may be exactly how most people looked who were killed in 9/11 yet they were never given this level of examination on account of the breakdown of soft tissue and bone fragments after the buildings collapsed. It was an intense look at real death in not only it's real state not glossed over by omission and nondescript verbage but it's real impact on the senses and emotions of regular people who were not emotionally attached to the victims.
@@DrLuke49 whoa, I believe you just unintentionally created the best watch commercial ever. Whatever brand he was wearing may be hitting you up very soon.
American culture is really obsessed with height but nobody ever thinks about the downsides of having an abnormally long body. In all crash/accident situations your more likely to survive, and not get hurt/dismembered, if you’re average height or short.
I don't know how this popped on My Algorithm but I watched. So sad how he/his daughter And friends. I can't imagine being a medical examiner. May all the lives lost rest peacefully 🕊️🕊️😔😔
Right because you have to examine these bodies that are damaged and that would cause me to lose my mind and have PTSD and depression but I guess if you love your Job and have done so many you would get used to examining bodies that are destroyed.
I had to pause this video a few times because its grievous to hear and imagine the tragic physical trauma of Kobe. I didn't know he was dismembered until last year but hearing the details hurts. I remember being in the restroom at Church in the city of Winnetka, California. I was washing my hands and a Helicopter flew so close to the building. In fear I actually thought it was flying into the church building because it was SO LOUD! About an Hour and a half later my brother texted me saying Kobe Bryant died in a Helicopter crash. Definitely a Sad for all who Loved Kobe

That basketball tournament was not worth human lives. The only good thing to come out of this is that pilots hopefully choose to not take needless chances anymore 🙏🏼
Intellectually, I have an idea of what can happen to a human body in a aircraft crash, so the autopsy details are not shocking to me. For me, it isn't hearing the details that is difficult. Its seeing images of him when he was still alive knowing the condition that body was in when he passed. He was so athletic, fit & strong until he wasn't. This wasn't growing older, developing health issues etc. It was such a sudden, traumatic change that its difficult for me to see all the images of him that I once loved to see.😭
I’m sorry but this is truly heartbreaking.. he didn’t deserve to go out like that… remember it like it was yesterday… never cried over a celebrity, athlete b4 but Bean u did it to me bro 😢
So very hard to see😢 the impact was of thee most violent I have ever heard😔 may Kobe and GI GI along with the others rest in peace 🙏 kobes legacy will always be remembered for many generations to come. Rest easy kob💜

R u serious 😭 how do you feel that someone is doing a service for autopsies that is so disturbing it shows what level of a mindset 😞 u r would u want someone to reveal something about your personal information that shows you that people are too Nosey think about how the family feels
I researched this after the accident and I found it very relieving that both Kobe and Gigi's brains were eviscerated. I'm so grateful that they did not suffer from burns or anything else. I really doubt anyone in that plane knew anything was wrong since the reason they crashed was because of lack of visibility. I think it happened too quickly to be processed. I know that not everyone believes in God, but I believe that their earthly bodies were of no use as of 9:46 AM that day. My heart breaks for the family and friends who weren't able to see them one last time, though. It would be incredibly difficult not to be able to have the option of seeing them at peace.
I think that is wishful thinking. They were traveling at or close to 200 MPH and once they reached below where all the fog was.... they would have seen what was happening, but due to the speed the pilot could not correct in time. It wasn't like 5 minutes of sheer terror or whatever, but I'm certain there were a few seconds of realization that they were in big trouble. Whatever the case, this crash shouldn't have happened at all...... it was NEGLIGENCE on the pilot and the charter's part if you follow the investigation.
Yeah that was a really sad event, not a basketball fan but his child being their was just heartbreaking. I remember being on the 101 and seeing the fire in the hills off las virgenes between the fog. Terrible event.
This is so heavy. I couldn’t imagine the feelings of the men and women that are the first people to arrive at situations like this to find people in this condition. When they realised they were inspecting the site of a crashed helicopter carrying 9 people, 1 of those being a sporting and cultural icon, would just intensify the psychological trauma to them also. Anyone that does this work, you are incredible people.❤
the strange thing is why a 41yo is on Ritalin. ???? wTh. Poor sucker should've just driven to the hoopsfest. Helo's will kill you. Sooner or later. Bad Idea. Guy on Ritalin should know that.
You didn't have to listen. People are interested for many reasons. If some people get their kicks from horrors such as this, that's their business and their problem. Shame on them. Learning about these tragedies makes people reflect on their lives, and the lives of the people they care about. It could all be over in an instant, and sadly, oftentimes, it's not a pretty ending. It's about both life and death. PEACE
I believe in the documents didn’t it say that his wife was kept from having to physically identify him and the child due to the circumstances of their bodies and damages they kept Vanessa Bryant from seeing them both .
Kobe was a great athlete. Didn’t know him personally and never ran into him in LA. Sometime you see the stars out here going about their business. Saw BigShot Rob in my barbershop about a month ago. After seeing the Lakers put that beat down last night at the Crypt against the Grizzlies. All I could think of was Kobe and his daughter Gianna. It was a Mamba type playoff game. They would’ve enjoyed every bit of that game. It was joyous and sad at the same time. I watch this young man blossom into a superstar. We all did for 20 years. Condolences to his entire family and friends. I know they miss him. R.I.P. to all who perish in this horrific accident. So sad.
I heard Kobe died on the radio. I thought they were joking. I had a dream about a basketball game and I felt compelled to check the internet about Kobe. When I saw the death date I was shook. I started and stopped watching basketball because of Kobe.
Damn..wish I never clicked on this..Kobe Bryant meant alot to fans of the NBA..to see drawings of his desroyed body is heartbreaking and sick..damn. Rest in Peace ✌️ Black Mamba.
This hits hard, i remember where i was when i heard the news. I woke up and checked the twitter trending page and there it was, to this day i cant check the trending page because i am scared of what i will see.
Damn, this was much harder to watch than I thought it would be. I even went into this with a scientific mindset but seeing the drawing of his body, I knew it was really bad. For me, it us just the suddenness of it all. One moment the world has Kobe and he's flying out to couch a kid's game and the next minute pieces of him are lying on a table or in a bucket. We really don't know when it is our time -- we can't always plan for it most of the time. The only takeaway from this is that it appears Kobe died very quickly -- perhaps not even aware he ever crashed. The helicopter his that hillside so hard I wasn't expecting anything resembling a body to come out of crash. Anyway, thanks for doing what you do because I couldn't. It was a tough watch but it satisfied my curiosity enough to know that next time I probably won't need it satisfied again. It's just rough seeing all that and thinking he was a dad with his daughter going to a game.
I needed this explained to me. I saw the these images but I really didn’t understand them. I’m like in shock just knowing that happened to someone. Never felt like this. So sad.
Seriously though. I'm HEARING how it happened, but I'm still pondering to myself HOW can parts of a human body be vaporized and erased in an instant just like that?
Dear God ...Poor man was completely mangled , and crushed ... putting it politely .. Im officially scarred and devastated hearing ths ... i cant stop crying ...
I don't think they felt anything, died on impact ,the crash itself when the helicopter crashed ,it was instant death,in the air going down so fast, sad what happened
Absolutely heart breaking, and gut wrenching, but I do take comfort in knowing he almost certainly, without any doubt, died instantly. He didn't suffer, I don't think the human body is capable of feeling any of that if it happened suddenly and he had nothing in his head to process any of that pain with. And to know that the fire only came later. It means that, in all likelihood, he probably had some hope he would survive and never was aware of his death or the situation. I hope that he could shut his eyes and hope for the best and that was that.
I was sitting in the car feeling like shit because 1/26/18 was my daddy's 2yr death anniversary, turned on the radio and heard this terrible news. I called my son and i could tell it took his breath away! Its was a miserable day!😔
