its actually quite refreshing to see such a song that carries so much weight, well just be rehearsed with humor, and the personalities shining through. was just just up near Mt Pleasant, rode through Ramseur.... we ended up adopting a pig from Richfields... and my girlfriends sons, well i heard them singing along to some mignonette, and some from Magpie... i still find myself a gushing fan, but i am not apologizin. this music has helped me through tough times, helped me celebrate, helped me just take a deep breath and look up. there is no way to thank yall without feeling silly, no way to truly convey how much it means to me, and to so many others, what the gifts of your art, and music really means. means everything.
I totally agree! They and their music mean so much to me, too. The best part for me has been sharing them with my kids. It's been a gift to have this music that we all love and relate to in our own personal way. I'm constantly having to hunt my records down but I don't mind. :-)
How am I just now finding this! It's GOLD! Can't stop smiling and giggling along with them - and those cute puppers! Thanks for the many priceless videos, Crackerfarm!
This is the best video because you see so much of their personality in this. I couldn't stop laughing. What I would give to see this every day...they are really my favorite people and I've never met them. Stay awesome, Avetts :)
Loved it. Long wet, dreary, thunderstormy day at work today. Needed this! Need more videos of them goofing off. Love the guitar wars there! As a guitarist loved it all! 'Specially the giggles! Dog wars!
I think this is the best feeling to sit in a relaxed atmosphere and listen to strumming on the guitar. I miss those nights with Joey jsut relaxing and listening ot him play these songs. The best times are these.
The sunburst Gibson second from the left on the wall in the background is from a music shop in my college town of Athens, Ohio, Blue Eagle Music. Frank, the owner, told me a story about when Scott walked in he looked up at the guitar and asked "Can you ship that to North Caroline?" I run into people all the times on the streets of Athens that used to open up for the Avetts when they used to play here all the time before they got huge.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!, one of the reasons I love the Avett brothers so very much is that they remind me of all the years on so front porches, and in basements and kitchens, watching musicians play for the shear joy of it
I want one or both of their guitars!! LOVE Martin!! And The Avett Brothers know how to make them sing! This is one of my favorite songs . . . cool seeing them horse around during practice . . . Those dogs rule!
One of my favorite Crackerfarm uploads thus far! Hearing the Avetts sing is always phenomenal, but watching them joke and getting insight into the people they are, not just the artists, is rare. Thanks Crackerfarm for all you do for the Avett fans.
Thanks! It was a great performance and even more energetic than I had imagined. The experience was amazing, almost surreal. I was so grateful to be there, these guys have changed my life. Can't wait to see them again!
So....this has been on my playlist for an age, and today I'm listening to it at work with my fancy fancy earphones that I bought for school, loudly because my effing coworkers are the worst, and when the dog barked I jumped ten feet. That's all.
