I feel like it'll take another 5 years for it all to really come to fruition but it is exciting.

Dark eldar are some of my favorites, but honestly, the eldar in general are a dying/dead race. they're about as relevant as some random tribe deep in the jungle. they're just there. you know they're there, but they amount to nothing. I would love to see the eldar come back but its not really possible. I fully expect they'll continue to fade away, much to my unhappiness.

@@anenfairy4996 Ynead is a real hope for them, because if Slaanesh is gone, it will SEVERELY weaken the forces of chaos, and most importantly, the eldars won’t have to worry neary as much about protecting their souls from she who thirsts. Also, Ynead as a god would protect them, ensuring their survival at the very least

@THE EMPEROR The number may actually be even _higher_ than that since I did remember reading/hearing a couple times about the daily number increasing to *4,000* psykers a day. So like depending on when the amount needed to be sacrificed started increasing and at what rate it did so (continuously in a smooth curve, in steps like stairs, or some combination of both?). Now, I'll admit that I'm just going to pull a number from my butt here but in theory though it's possible that upwards of 10,000,0000,000 or more psykers being sacrificed by this point in time. Likely not the case, but it's certinaly not outside the relams of possibly (or at least being close) given that we don't really have a soild timeline about when the needed daily sacrifice of psykers started inceasing. Of course I am unsure if these daily sacrifices mentioned in the lore actually accounts for those in the Chamber of the Astronomican (the 10,000 psykers known as the Chosen). I've read that if a psyker can achive this a of mystic state then they becone of the Chosen and afterwards they'll only last between 2 to 3 months before dying, with about a 100 or so Chosen dying each day. So assuming that the chosen are not normally counted as part of the daily sacrifice, then that's an additional 365,250,000 pskers over 10,000 years (asssuming that 100 of the Chosen consistantly die each day). Actually on second thought maybe that 10 billion number isn't so far fetched after all.....

I would say otherwise. More like Alpharius was last while Omegon was first or even never removed from Terra. In the novel it is said that Omegon felt his brother die, killed by Dorne. Even if we add that XX can switch bodies apparently Alpha is dead. From my headcanon Alpharius pulled most of XX into Chaos due to Cabal and Omegon remains loyal and undermines all Chaos actions while remaining undercover. But hey, it's Alpha Legion and they are known for doing everything *JUST AS PLANNED*

Well his current physical body is too badly damaged to regenerate, so he'd have to respawn himself elsewhere. Problem though is 2 fold: 1) if you pull the plug earth will be destroyed by Vulkan's Doomsday bomb under the throne (a last fuck you to chaos so earth doesn't turn into the Eye of Terra). 2) The emperor's psychic power has grown too far to be constrained to a physical body. If his body dies, his soul will ascend into the Chaos God of Order and Hope, which he doesn't want because it'd prove Lorgar right. The Emperor doesn't want to be a God. Funny because that is becoming inevitable. The Golden Throne is failing not because it's old, but because the Emperor is becoming too powerful and he's the one breaking it. If the throne shuts down, he ascends. If he ascends, Chaos loses. He'd become more that strong enough to delete Nurgle, Slaanesh, Tzeench and Khorne from existence

As for general toughness, the Doom Slayer fought the Demons in Hell non-stop for eons until he was tricked and placed in his cursed sarcophagus. And the Slayer Testimates litterally state, "He chose the path of perpetual torment, and in his ravenous hatred he found no peace..." meaning he was suffering the entire time he was in Hell yet he just kept killing. So I would argue his will is just as strong as the Emperor's.

Honestly that might not be too farfetched, they might be the solution to bring the Emperor back to physical form, although they'll need a very good reason to do so knowing full well that bringing him back would relight the imperiums flame and the Imperium might be able to return to Pre-HH state, a force that might spell the end of the Eldar if things swing against them so they'll keep that tucked well away until they've got literally no other options

If, however, the Ynnari and the Imperium can be made to rise together and complement each other in the grand project of finally defeating Chaos, that attitude might be reversed. Hell, the Tau Empire's nascent "God of the Greater Good" (created by their client and slave races, not strictly Tau but whatever) might also be amenable to joining the project. If things continue along this trajectory, I can see a "pantheon of Order" arising to try and pull the galaxy in a *slightly* more noblebright direction.

I think Cawl already confirmed that the Emperor is not bound by linear time. In one of his flashbacks/dreams he speaks with the Emperor - it's not clear if he is actually remembering past events of if this is the Emperor speaking to him in a dream - but Cawl notes that the Emperor is outside of time and space. And it's true that potent warp entities exist outside of time. Once a chaos god is born, it's like they have always existed, so we must assume that the Emperor too will always have existed once he ascends to godhood.

As I read this I remember a video I saw which was showcasing the voice acting for the Emperor on the custodes mod and he says “fear not my children the time I walk the battlefield with you has come once more, it has been so long...” but at the same time I don’t know if he refers to humanity as his children or the custodes themselves since they are his only true sons

Honestly late, but I keep watching lore videos and it's made me want to read the books. But this is exactly what I feared, in that it's so extensive that there's not a really clear timeline to follow.

I listened to the audio version yesterday. It was ... meh. Andy Clarks characters are excellently done but behave kinda weird. Its the 42nd millenium and at times you'd think its a HH book. It feels too much like an introduction for beginners bc the discussions especially the custodians have are just plain stupid. 10000 years after the HH and they still act surprised if someone regards big E as a god or traitor marines being only now slowly corrupted by the warp although they hung around in the eye of terra for 10000 years??? I mean yeah i get it. Time is fucked up in the warp but much of the stuff in the book makes zero sense to me.

What do you mean? Tell us please, I cannot read the book anyway.

I suppose that its a huge galaxy and they could tell stories of the past similar to how they already do, but a flat out ending for any one faction would turn the fans of other factions into screaming maniacs... As they saw when they gave chaos the win in fantasy. So theyd likely give one faction a win, rewind, give another faction a win, rinse and repeat as it seems theyre doing with fantasy. It also brings in more ability for more merchandise and stories and models and stuff.

Gw Will create another status quo. The difference is that the setting Will mostlikely become fantasy in space. With Eldar God comeback for example.

I have theory on how this could happen... The Primarchs have been shown to ‘sense’ each other. Wolf Lord Rho has covered this matter before. So what would happen if Guilliman was for some reason visiting The Rock, and senses the presence of one of his brothers? Cue the rediscovery of the first Primarch.

The Lion Will come back and deliver brutal and cold retribution to the enemies of mankind!
