With my hair, it’s mostly wavy. But the second it gets to a certain length, it turns into a 2c/3a curl pattern and it’s such a weird situation but it’s worth the struggle
yo i think me and you have the same situation what type of short hair styles do you go for i haven’t been able to find a good one for a couple years so i’m stuck with longer hair

@@helloapple7805 I don't watch any. All I do is do a 5 minute scalp massage for a week every month and take these gummies that strengthen your hair, only issue is the gummies also make your nails grow like crazy
I’ve always had straight hair but for the first time about a full year ago I grew my hair to near my shoulders and it was straight at the root but at the bottom it curled really heavy actually like some giant coils. I decided to get short hair and now I’m growing my hair again but for some reason my hair is curly even when short, this has never happened before. Can’t wait for my hair to get long again because if it’s curly when it’s short it’s gonna look 100x better long
This is to anyone who is thinking of cutting their hair coz it’s too hard to manage or it gets too out of control or for anyone who has long hair already…I wouldn’t recommend cutting it. I grew mine for 2 years then I cut it. I instantly regretted it, I’m up to my 9th Month of growing my hair now and its crazy and i can’t control it but hey it’s worth the wait once you tie it up or leave half up half day.
I grew couple of times amd cut it after few months due to the curliness and maintenance. Now it's agajn six months i haven't cut but it looks so much worse than what he showed in the video yet j don't wanna give up this time
I third this. I have big curls, and I wanted a short bob-- the curls make my hair stick outward instead of down. I'm on a long journey to get my big hair at least to my shoulders again, and this time I won't be tempted to cut it back down!
Same. But as soon as I get some growing good, I have to take chemo again for Leukemia. Funny I only lose ONE HALF OF my hair! LITERALLY! You can literally draw a line down the center. It's crazy!
Don't forget that products really matter for curly hair!! Especially stay away from drying chemicals like sulfates. Silicone can make it feel smooth and silky but it's really bad. It forms a barrier on your hair and can only be removed by harsh soaps like sulfates. Curly hair NEEDS moisture so condition it and use deep conditioning masks. Denman brushes are great for defining curls too! Great cut at the end 👌
I had this same head of hair maybe a bit more coily. Grew it out during the pandemic so didn't really care much about it. Then on some stupid impulse decided to shave my head...immediately regretted it. After about a year of fade cuts decided to give another shot at longer hair. But this time around the awkward stage feels so much more horrible to manage. Especially in formal clothing since you can't even wear a cap or beanie to cover it up.

Yess saame!! I have a thick & curly hair and I haven't found any hair styles that can make me look good with long hair! I always have to tie it up and it's annoying cuz what's the point of growing it if I can't have the natural free look ☹️ started to think that long hair isn't for me whiches very disappointing and depressing..
Had my curly hair for 2 years I cut it off it looked fine but there were so many twisted frizzy bits that annoyed me so im regrowing it using a proper method this time.
I'm really considering it my hair was really long like down to my neck when dry and past my shoulders when wet, i had the Mikey look for a while, i parted in the middle, side, tied it in the back sometimes, went to get a "trim" it got absolutely butchered, currently mediumish length and uneven but since it's curly you can't tell that much
My husband hair looked like that but now I squish his hair right after he takes shower with oil. Then use t shirt to squish dry. Squishing works. And moisturizing.
I really love long hair but my curly r a pain in my @SS.....so everytime i try to grow them longer i take a buzz cut....its such a relief nd pain at the same tym
I’m at a year of growth rn, it looks so bad and frizzy and hard to manage but guys trust me, fix your diet, sleep with a bonnet and put product in your hair constantly while brushing it wet and it’ll look so much better than what you have right now, I’m just now starting and that’s the painful part.
I am Southeast Asian with naturally curly hair unlike most asians having 1A hair. My hair is pretty much the south chinese type curly hair but like it is hard to use stuff like headbands when my headshape just isn't made for it, and I have that really really round headshape and I can't follow any tutorials because there is no hair tips for naturally curly southeast/east asian hair for men, only women :(

I figured once or twice a week, I'd do shampoo/conditioner and let the natural oils do the rest.. I'm still trying to figure out my regiment... I'm Spanish + Native American + "European," and I live in Alaska (cold weather) if that matters.

What do you do when the front hairs are just too short for a headband to work? Keeps getting in my eyes and I have been trying to figure out how to get it contained until it’s long enough for headband or pony tail
Lol. That thumbnail! I was like that 18 months ago then it looked great and I shaved it off because of my tinnitus driving me mad but thankfully the tinnitus has subsided since moving away from hill country for the sea level coast.
Me too. On my moms side it’s all straight/wavy hair. But on my dads side, it’s mostly all 3a’s. Even my own sister has 3a curls, yet I’m the only one In my whole family tree to have 3c/4a. Shits rough man 😔.

i have to diffuse my hair, or it's a real shxt show. i wash it at night, scrunch mousse or gel into it, plop in a net overnight and diffuse in the morning
I felt like walking cauli flower, because I bleached my hair white. I cut it because I'm undergraduate in education, there is no way I'm allowed to take internship with the hair. Now I'm growing it again.
@@camerontaljaard9936 i wash my hair every 4 days with shea moisture, shampoo then conditioner with warm water. With hair still wet i apply a leave in conditioner then brush my hair, then apply a mouse or gel, after hair dries completely I use a oil and break up the dried hair. That is all. Sleep with a silk pillow and bonnet, then in morning I gently fluff up hair with fingers and good to go. Once a month I use a clarifying shampoo and every 2 weeks I use a shea moisture strengthen & restore treatment mask instead of conditioner and let it sit in hair for 15 minutes. Shea moisture, tresemme, and aussie are all good brands for curly hair you can find a mousse/oil etc specific for curly hair.

Some of my hairs are straight but the sides are 1c and 2b some are straight and the back of my hair there are most 2c and 1c i also have a chance having very few 4b hair(not many) of my back hair💀also my hair is very thic idk what kind of hair is this.
Cutting it is never an option if ur aiming for that long hair look...It's a hard journey,very hard,especially with the awkward stage bcz ur hair will literally look like a homeless hair but it's okay,just need to wait some months until it reach shoulder lenght at least
