Brilliant version of Give me back my man Live from the US festival in California on September 3rd 1982. Cindy looking the beautiful goddess that she is!
I've played guitar for a long time and i have to say that Ricky's guitar work is really hard to get down...not to mention his arcane tunings...very underrated guitarist.
He had his own voice, that's for sure. I loved that he had irony through all his riffs. The guy was as much as a comedian as he was a musician. He was one of a kind.
She cuts her hair And calls his name Wishin' everything could be the same Like when she had him I'll give you fish I'll give you candy I'll give you everthing I have in my hand Walking out of Korvettes Package in her hand Motions to all the seabirds Throws divinity on the sand
I don't know the origin story of this song but my money is on Cindy and her brother (RIP) coming up with the song together during a long session in one of their rooms. Nobody else was there. I have no reason to believe that's what happened but it feels right.
@@aaacomp1 I'd generally classify them more as a New Wave band if I had to, but this particular song is definitely post-punk. This song could perfectly fit a Gang of Four album, or even Joy Division.
I’m going tonight opening night at the Venetian in Las Vegas. This show is my first show in 1982 40 years ago. Long live this iconic dreamy legendary powerhouse band of bands. “Walk talk in the name of love “ ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
