AND IF SOCIETY prioritized a woman’s last name as much as a man’s, I would be cherishing my Irish ancestry as much as my French. My Grandma’s last name is PATTY! As in SAINT PATRICK. and y’all are LUCKY I DIDN’T INCLUDE THAT FOOTAGE FROM OUR DRUNKEN NIGHT FROM ST. PATTY’S DAY IN DUBLIN (its on tiktok) 🍀
As an Irish person I've honestly never seen a more accurate depiction of this country in a vlog before until now. You really captured how beautiful but very strange Ireland is. hahaha
Thank you for understanding he Hung up on the hôtel receptionnist and accepting did went for several" total grand american style" cuddles with the lambs ( have been to Ireland many times, but staying with the Irish, I never saw that sort of thingin Eire, only in the Netherlands, exhilarating.) That shows once again Irish people are such a quality blend, amazing friendliness and always in to join à bunch of funny Queens. This by far was the most relaxed vlog and I am happy Damon left his diamonds in Dubaï, choosing to laugh Tinderly with the Leipreáchuns ; - )
Ireland has a special place in my heart. It was the first country I travelled abroad to (I'm American w/ Irish ancestry + an Irish dancer). Our driver (who drove us from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher and back) brought us to the Obama plaza, to a 400-year-old pub, and to a surreal religious shrine in the middle of nowhere on the way. He brought something to lay at the shrine for his late-mother. We were disheartened to part ways with him that evening. However, two days later, when it was time to depart for the Dublin airport, he came back to our hotel to be our driver to the airport!! As we said our final goodbyes, he subtly handled me a small ruby broche from his late-mother. To this day, I keep it on my dresser in remembrance of him and the beautiful country of Ireland. Thank you for capturing Ireland for us, Damon :) I was only there for three days, but I hope to someday spend much more time there.
@@damondominique I’d love that! On weeks you don’t post you could always recommend videos from other RU-vidrs that you enjoyed recently, I’m always looking for new people to watch
Long time Irish viewer!! It's interesting what you said about Ireland being a nature country, when I found out that Ireland used to be 80% trees and now it's >5% my whole perspective changed on our landscape 😮😮😮 Also the area around the Spanish Arch in Galway city is closed off because too many people were drinking and having impromptu raves around the river there .. the council were anticraic
antiCRAIC! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 if a politician ever ran a campaign on how they're proCRAIC i would drop it all just to emigrate to ireland, become a naturalized citizen, invent a time machine, and then vote for them
Somehow I already anticipated Paul being with you in this Ireland doc and as I heard his voice in the first few seconds, my heart made a lil flip - just looove the vibe of you two together!! Thank you for sharing your art!
As someone who grew up on the ring of Kerry, it's nice seeing people appreciate the beauty of the South West of Ireland, something I took for granted. I no longer live in Ireland, but I never feel too far from home; salt air and lush green grass coursing through my veins.
I love the "who needs therapy when you can just go to Ireland" comment. Funfact: I was sent to Ireland to learn about the Irish educational system. They had a high suicide rate and they decreased that rate through a new curriculum based on the concepts: wellbeing and inclusivity. So, in reality... you're not wrong, there's a high chance you can improve your mental health moving there 😂
I STUDIED MY ERASMUS YEAR IN GALWAY I was really hoping you'd go, sad you didn't have much fun there but it's the best place ever. Also, I'm Spanish and it took three MONTHS to understand most Irish people. Fun fact that I'm not sure you know but when you were sat by the river en Galway behind you was one of the few places where Ed Sheeran shot his Galway Girl music video. And yes, it was a thing to go around the places where he recorded as a tourist lmao anyways, everyone GO VISIT IRELAND!!!!!
Damon I’ve been watching you for years and am leaving this summer for my first backpacking trip in Europe! You’ve taught me how to be a conscious tourist, a curious American AND a bad bitch n I’ll love u forever🫶🏻 thank u for always putting out this qualityyyy
Damon, don't know how I missed this last year! But I've been to Ireland 3 times and did some of the same things you did: sheep shearing demo, Cliffs of Moher, Barney Castle and kissing that blasted stone, sipping a bit of Guiness at the Guineas storehouse in Dublin! Thanks for making me feel like I was home again!! Cause this guy felt like Ireland was home!! And the people are so friendky!
You never miss Damon!! im only two minutes in but I already know you did it yet again. I love the videos of you solo but the videos with Paul are a treat hahaha the way yall banter is so funny!!
I love this so much. Scotland pt 1 & 2 is one of my top favorite videos from you and paul I watch a lot because yall two crack me up lol. This was great, I was watching this during my work shift lol
Quite literally one of the few creators on this platform that has such a specific and unique editing eye. I could watch your videos on mute and riveted.
Seriously there is no better dose of laughter than this shit. I have to rewind (yes I said rewind) constantly because I'm laughing too hard and missed the next immediate funny thing. Can we start a lottery to win a trip with Damon and Paul?
"your life is on track" *crosswalk goes off* That's the universe (God, Spirit, Consciousness... whatever you resonate with) confirming that! It's saying "ding, ding, ding, you right" lol. What a beautiful synchronicity. ;)
Crazy to be missing Damon, click on this video out of them all, and see him talking about Spinoza. Someone I just started reading about on my pantheism journey ❤️
Oh God, I laughed so much during this video. Your friendship is amazing. Also as someone who lives in London I can attest that both of these islands have insanely changeable weather and it's incredibly annoying.
I was getting so overwhelmed with personal and work stress. And after watching just 5 minutes of this video I’m already feeling so much lighter. The world is beautiful. And joy is made with those jokes you have with your closest friends. Thank you for helping me get out of my head by showing us the world. ❤
I have been waiting so long for you to post a new Ireland vlog since I’m going this summer and the timing of this couldn’t have been more perfect. Love this!
Really well done Damon. I feel like you pick a really great spots to visit and really understood the strangeness and beauty of the country. Been watching your channel for a few years I grew up near Killarney. Saw this video, I was soo excited to see it and you didn’t disappoint.
truly if it's a paul video im watching.,, idc idc if paul has a million fans i am one of them . if paul has ten fans i am one of them. if paul has only one fan and that is me
by far my favorite travel video you've done! you did such a great job capturing ireland's natural beauty and it makes me so happy that you spent so much time out west in the countryside. so many tourists make the mistake of staying in dublin and they miss out on the most beautiful parts of the country by doing that
