I can see reasons why there is so much emphasis on two handed backhand. People who played tennis after Roger Federer don’t appreciate single handed backhand. I don’t contend that view point. I do want to point out that it is not a must to use a two handed backhand to survive as pickleball is not tenis. A two handed backhand is harder to learn unless you practice to be ambidextrous from the start. Watch Tyson MacGuffin, Ben John’s, Stacksrud and many others who use single handed backhand as their main strokes. They use (not Tyson) two handed backhand to add a new shot to their collection. I am not an expert by any measure but that’s my 2c

That follow through works in tennis but not so much in pickleball. The ball comes back way too quick. Also how do you reach all the way down to your left when you're holding two hands on the racket?
