Uploaded this with a VERY obvious typo in the video image (the spelling is 'to', not 'too', but nobody's perfect. Lol.) but I can't remove/change it, otherwise I'll lose all the views. Deal with it - Love ya!
Never thought a song could reach it's peak when adding a freaking cowbell @3:32. Amazing lyrics and beat, the summer of 2024 is already saved thanks to this song!
I used to be the one that you always ran too No one could hold you down the way that you knew I would Now you lay with me pretending that you're even near me I choose my words with caution cause I know that you don't hear me I should've known when I saw the signs, but I only looked away Maybe I held on a little too tight, maybe I held on a little too tight I don't know who you run to but I won't get in your way Somehow I guess I loved you too much too soon, too little too late Don't twist the knife so slowly, just make it painless Don't talk like you don't know me and don't act like you're so shameless Enjoy it while it lasts cause when you least expect it This might all come back around just to haunt you if you let it I should've known when I saw the signs, but I only looked away Maybe I held on a little too tight, maybe I held on a little too tight I don't know who you run to but I won't get in your way Somehow I guess I loved you too much too soon, too little too late..
I found this song by accident. I asked Google to play "the midnight" this came up instead, needless to say it was the best shower and 4 hours later I've ever had!
July 12th of last year my favorite aunt (on my wife's side) and I were talking about how we hated listening to music on the radio. She's 64 and 35. I described what I like and told her about this bad and sent her a text with this song. Last Saturday she cashed in on her "one way ticket". I've only know her for 10 years, but it feels like I've lost a friend I've known forever. We didn't talk regularly, but it was always like old friends where we picked up where we left off. I can't imagine the emptiness her husband or kids feel. Anyway, cheers for the memories this sound has made.
I type this with tears running down my face. There are no words to describe how awesome this song is but this song describes everything I wanted to say. Maybe I held on a little too tight....
I can't believe it took two years for this to end up in my recommendations! I love this song. I swear, every time I think I've exhausted the supply of great retrosynth, another gem shows up. Glad to have found this.
Life's litterally the time between traumas and your new favorite song. Lets just hope the songs outweigh the traumas. If you read this, I believe in you. ❤️
Woooaaah! This song is FIRE!!! Just like back when I was a teenager in the 80s (Mr Mr, White Snake, Richard Marx, Toto etc etc) Mannnn I love this! This song should be in the Billboard top 20 along with all the other new RETRO WAVE artists and bands! Much love from a old school 80s kid (Amsterdam!).. Keep it going and make sure this will become the global standard again!
♪♫ _Don't talk like you don't know me and don't act like you're so shamelessss_ ♪♫♬ Love it! This song is going to get featured somewhere and absolutely blow up.
I know I got into retro synth and boarded the train a bit late, found it whilst on an 80’s binge lol and I’m not sorry. I’ve been listening to do much and this came up recently in recommendation. Been listening to it ever since!!!
Happen to run across this song on Pandora and after hearing it ONCE, I am hooked! This is 🔥🔥🔥 Can't believe I'm so late to this song but glad to experience it! Now will be on repeat. I gotta hear more from this group.
Such a surreal track. One of the finest synthwave tracks I've found over the last few years. That chorus is classic Sting/The Police... anv although I've never much cared for Sting/The Police... this song just slays, in every way possible. Lyrics are killer too. This track is timeless- and will stay with me for years to come. Thank you for putting this together (I checked out other music from you but... this song, is just on another level).
Had this randomly recommended to me and was like "Nice, but this somehow sounds quite a lot like Back To You by Timecop1983 (which is a staple in my driving playlist)" only to realize it's the same guy featured on that track when I checked it on here.
hard to articulate the feelings this song gives me, lmao but so fcking happy that it randomly woke me up from my youtubes auto play. Can't believe i went 4 years in retrowave without coming across this fucking wild
This is really really good, I've had this song on loop for like an hour now. Consider the sax. It would be cool to hear you collaborate with The Midnight.
wow an amazing song bringing that authentic 80s feeling! I really wish I discovered it earlier! It sounds like a combination of Corey Hart, Outfield, Phil Collins, John Waite, Eight Seconds and Cutting Crew! Definitely one of the best and most authentic retro songs I've ever heard! Bravo and THANK YOU for the music!
It would be even more perfect with a guitar solo by Steve Lukather!!! Man, i'm seriously addicted to this song, loved it all! Congrats for the amazing talent!!!
It's also very nice the featuring you made with Timecop1983 on "Back To You" song. Congrats. You deserve more views and success and I think you'll get it soon.
This make my heart sink in a good way the neon art n 80s sound I love it just got turned on from uncle Joey at the church if u come to wi ever ill be there
