Here I dip my toes into the slightly controversial realm of slab cracking, crossovers, resubmitting and even cleaning cards. I take two cards (a 1976 George Brett and a 1963 Willie Stargell) with grades that I don't think that they deserve. I examine up close, discuss my reasoning and send these cards in again, the Brett after a good surface cleaning!

Also a surface issue at the yellow/blue right border really stands out. Congrats on the Brett bump.

The Stargell appears to maybe have a surface disturbance just above the “ie” of rookies on the front of the card. I’m thinking that’s why you didn’t get a 6-7. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching with such attention to detail! I see what you are talking about and I'm honestly not sure if I didn't see it, or if it didn't register to me as something that would knock it down below anything else I was looking at. Could be the reason... Either way I've tried to become a little more cognizant of surface issues here recently!
