Coming back to this after a few months, the video came out just after i broke up with my ex, i realise this is kind of a joke piece of music but it really helped soothe my emotions
i think this would be a fun concept for a dynamic video game soundtrack just randomize some chords selected based off the vibe you're going for and then add in some action sounds roughly in on the beat
It's strange how little randomized improvisation there is in VGM. I mean there is "dynamic" music that tries to fit the mood of the game, but virtually no randomized "improvised" harmony or melody. In fact I only know of one, and that is "Times of Lore" by Martin Galway, for the Commodore 64 in 1988!
This almost feels like it's rushing compared to your A train or rhythm changes, but I know it's the same... so maybe the performances I listen to tend to play behind the beat more
