They were country and always will be. She has a country twang in her voice, so. My favorite country band from the 2009 through 2013. Even above Little Big Town and Lady A
@Rosa 1299 I’m good to use that line on the next spam caller, but it keeps slipping my mind when those calls come in! Do you know how much I hate it when I’m at work, and those scammers call me?! I’m about to cuss then, when the ID reads, “potential spam”, or some out of state number I’m not familiar with. Muthafuckers!
Kimberly has come as a solo carreer recently and the music is good , Reid must be coming too...but it will be needed like 4 to 5 years in order for deep wounds to be healed in all aspects...
Spencer Niemann I have their Pioneer CD, and I love it, and I'm not exactly a huge, country music fan, I just listen to a little bit of everything, I'm from Michigan. This song has been like, my theme song for the past couple of years when me and my now ex-husband got divorced. Time for me to move on!!!
I hate reading through all the hate comments. The Band Perry is a country band. If you don't like country, leave. That's all there is to it. You don't have to criticize the band.
Love how the video was filmed not even a minute down the road from my house and how they put the thanks stayton, sublimity oregon. 💜💜💜 love them so much. The trees were also on a tree farm and were replanted afterwards.
Thank you The Band Perry for graciously involving the towns of Stayton and Sublimity Oregon in the making of your video, AND acknowledging that fact at the end of it... Great song!
I half-expected there to be a “no trees were harmed” message at the end. For people who understand the importance of trees, watching a tree cut down for no reason is almost as painful as seeing wild animals killed for sport. But of course TN has plenty of pine tree land that belongs to the paper factory and you commonly see trucks piled with cut trees on the roads here. The trees in the video were those tall pines they cut for paper, so I realized trees weren’t being cut just for the video, but it’s still sad to hear a song promoting the idea of carving on trees, then cutting them down when the relationship ends. People aren’t always smart and I hate to see anyone giving bad ideas to dummies. Most kids carve their names on huge trees, not farmed pines, so hopefully no one is trying to cut down a massive, ancient tree because they had their heart broken and got inspired by this song. I suppose it doesn’t matter since we’re doomed anyway, thanks to oil companies and the R’s that support them. If you want to hear a beautifully sad song about a tree, look up “The Hanging Tree” by Blackmore’s Night (yes, that’s Richie Blackmore’s band).
"love is shady, love is tragic, it's hard to bury the hatchet" I'm with a guy I'm plannin on spendin the rest of my life with, if it ain't him it ain't no one, but I'm still vibin to this! To the whole song!! I love you guys! Your music is amazing!!!
I love forests, They make my furniture and my house I live in and make my house all nice an cozy in the winter time. Also, they allow us to have camp fires that draw our friends and families closer.
MS KIMBERLY PERRY & HER BROTHERS DID THE "LOVE IS SHADY LOVE IS TRAGIC IT'S HARD TO BURY THE HATCHET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" LOVE THAT PART!!! GOOD JOB PERRY SIBLINGS!!!!!! ALSO LOVE THE PART WHERE THEY WERE LOOKING UP AT THE TREE AT 1:40!
Are we seriously not going to discuss the fact that Groot, the walking tree, seems perfectly comfortable with a video about cutting down trees? I mean, If I saw a music video about chopping up humans, I'd be very disturbed.
I did not know this video was mad right here from the state I live in. That's awesome of how they love the fact that we actually care about our trees and re-plant knew ones all the time. Thank u BAND PERRY! LOVE U GUYS!!
Wow, y'all got me through what I thought was a loss for me but was realy a gain for me and his damn loss. LOL. Thank you for existing y'all, MUCH love.
I have to say, I am a big treehugger and when I first heard this song, I was worried that they might saw down a historic tree just to make the video. I am relieved to see that the video was shot in a timber farm where trees are harvested for lumber and a tree was not wasted. Thank you to The Band Perry for that.
Nice looking Oregon Doug-fir. Good straight, crowns looked good. Great spacing ( obviously previously thinned) 50-60 years old, ring patterns are probably pretty tight, didn't look like those tree were ever stressed.... I was defiantly way more interested in the trees than in the music.
I was thinking "I hope those trees were going to be cut down anyway..." At the end of it? A little disclaimer: yes, they were, on a tree farm. They were just able to use it for the music video. Pay attention, folks xD
Love this because i am from Oregon and the trees will be replanted we always do.We love our forests but we also realize that trees are a renewable source of wood and they will always will be respected in Oregon. We would never clear cut our forest without replanting it.we love the forest that much and respect it with our very soul.Have a great day. Karla
I love how everyone is going on about the trees. Lmao did none of you see the disclaimer at the end? All of these trees were schedual to be cutdown anyway for whatever reason and the wood was put to good use. The tree farm was generous enough to let them film. So, unless your house is made of orange peels with absolutely zero wood within it, then all of you tree hugger can shut up :)
The Band Perry gets better and better.I always knew they were a talented group/family,but this video blows my thoughts to the moon.I'm not sure if talented could get better.I know it's just a video, but I also believe that this song was recorded that very way, meaning;Kimberly playing guitar, while Neil is playing the drums and singing.MULTI-TALENTED AND I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE THE VIDEO.(P.S.I hope I got the brother's name right, that is playing drums,if not,it's Reid)
Woah awesome, the whole time I was watching I was wondering if they just chopped them down and left them...nice to see they actually used the lumber! Nice looking trees though :)
I love this song :D I can so relate to this right now too. Taking my imaginary chainsaw and cutting down that tree, cutting down all the pain and memories. Throwing away all the lies and tricks. Love it!
Yay! So proud of you guys! This has been a huge hit in my heart for quite some time, video is awesome! SO excited and honored to have the 'firefly' song as my wedding song forever! Xoxo :)
