@@genericallyentertaining well he did offer it to Wax and Wax did accept it. Maybe he does offer it to all good people and they say no. Preservation said most sane people just want to move on at that point. ;)

@@genericallyentertaining We get a line in Stormlight from Sazed that he is looking for a specific person to do his will outside of Scadrial. Someone who is a good person but also a warrior. this has to be Wax, wich is why he needed him. He offered it to Vin and Elend because of their friendship, and he did to Way, because he needs him as his "Agent in the Field" so to speak. To work against Odium while still bound to Scadrial.

Also people suddenly resuciting is maybe a concept difficult to handle for a society under "Harmony" Intent. "Endowment" in the other hand...

Yeah. Definitely one of Sando’s more overtly preachy moments, though to be fair he’s far less preachy than many authors.

Well, the thing is that it actually does apply to Sazed. The problem of evil only applies to actually omnipotent gods, which is why the counter arguments fall apart. An omnipotent god *could* preserve free will while also stepping in to help everyone. Sazed does not have that power, to prevent evil Sazed would indeed need to prevent free will, and a lot of it. I am not convinced he is as helpless as you put it. He definitely seems limited by the balance, but it seems too big an extrapolation to claim he can't actually go a long way to satisfy what Wax asked. Just the fact he didn't make that argument points to the idea it probably isn't true. That or the duality of Harmony is quite a lot to explain when given limited time.

Well, I believe he did mention that he takes that walk with everyone who dies, so I'm under the impression that even if they can't linger long, he has time for a short conversation. But valid point nonetheless.
