It's a cover!!! I only just found this out!!! And just found out prince wrote manic monday. Wikkipedia is still amazing me decades later. Go and look up 'different light' and have a read. I was only 12 when I had this on l.p. but I would have read the album cover from.... well.... cover to cover and being a prince fan, I known I would have read his name and known that nugget of info as I loved knowing stuff like that, he used the name Christopher apparently as a pseudonym.

This song was played so much in its time. I was surprised to learn that this song peaked at position 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986. This song sounds so much fresher and less dated than some of the Bangles' other hits.

Victoria Justice is another beautiful brown-eyed woman. Very talented too. I love her. Natalie and Susanna definitely both aged well and were/are always beautiful. Natalie should definitely have lived longer indeed, she was barely in her 40s. Should still be here. But she's not forgotten and people still look upon her with awe. That’s one thing I find really stupid about humans in general. They assume that every event that happens in their lives is something new the world has never seen before.
