The Bare Bones - Part 1 

The Archaeology Scotland Learning Team are creating hands-on learning resource boxes inspired by Forestry and Land Scotland's book, The Bare Bones. This film documents our first co-design workshop with North Ayrshire Junior Rangers at Haylie Cairn in Largs.
We ran a series of co-design workshops in Spring 2024 with children, young people and adults on the Isle of Arran, in North Ayrshire and in County Antrim to explore the themes of the book, investigate sites named in it and identify the types of artefacts and activities that engaged learners of different ages.
