The Porsche 996 is the cheapest Porsche 911 you can buy. And that makes it one of the best. I picked up a great example that we will make even better. This is where the story starts!
Purchased my 1999 C2 coupe for $11,000 USD in 2015 with 99,000 miles. It's black metallic with savana interior. Personally for me I hate black cars but when shopping used color sometimes takes a back seat.
Nice one ! Love the Momo steering wheel, GT3 seats, the OZ wheels .. That suits the car perfectly and keeps the Porsche spirit. I subscribed to follow the project, wish you the best !
Great overview and video of your 996 "Clubsport" and good deal you got especially with low mileage engine and R&T already installed. 996 handling better then the Spyder, wow now thats a statement, that must be the magical Öhlins at work with levin or mtech alignment, maybe the coffin arms, drop links are upgraded....etc.. Original high mileage 996 is like an old Lincoln 😀 Spyder and 996 are different animals, my 996 gives me super confidence when exiting the curves but going in to the curve has understeer but due to the weight at the back its like a slingshot when throttling mid curve. The spyder does not have that rear weight+ grip and confidence but instead turnin is amazing on the spyder. I can't sell my 996 they are classic machines which get incrementally better with good mods. Enjoy the journey putting your touch on this car.
I have an 02 911 with a vision motorsports 4.0, lsd, kw clubsports, and bbi suspension arms, etc. For me it is the perfect porsche that captures all of the 911 mantras. I choose my 996 keys over my 991gt3rs most of the time
@CanisMalus fried egg headlights is flat out ugly even 996.2. Spent $400 just for paint, before you judge see first, looks better than any 996 out there. Want to know what's tacky? Those gay chrome plate to cover the headlight washers, ridiculous design. Your 1 word response was tacky too.....
