I was taught this song as a child (American). "Nipperkin and a brown bowl" was slurred to 'nipperkanimerabo." It worked.

Seamus is a boss. How he can go so quickly from taking a favorable swig to singing is worthy of remark. I just drank the song with him. To my other American brothers, it takes a pint to do this song. In American thats 2 beers. I wish the US did beer in pints. I love this country; but damn, the Europeans got the memo with alc. measurements. 1 beer= 1 pint. ;)

I sing this song at a reinactment on a stage, infront of a whole bunch a drunks. Nobody beats drunks when it comes to enthusiasm.

When I play a Bard in DnD and if my DM wants me to do perform check to get free room and board at the town tavern I instead sing this song or the Drunken Sailor song.
