yes bro, indian education is fully based on theory, but this also makes indian adapt better and move abroad which is why theyre all over western lands now.

4:42 The first use of the idea of 'sine' in the way we use it today was in the work ARYABHATIYAN by aryabhata in AD 500 . He use the world jya . The ARYABHATIYAN was translated into arabic . The word jya was translated into sinus, which means curve, when arabic was translated into LATIN. An english professor edmund guntur 1st use the abb. notation sine
