A little side note... Punches can be sharpened with tin foil and lubricated with wax paper. I found this very helpful when I learned it. Thanks for all the great info. Karyn
I just finished part 15 and, oh my gosh, I just absolutely love it! I haven't been able to scrapbook for quite a while, but I really want to go back and make this album with you, step by step. I so appreciate the way you instruct! You are just awsome.!
Oh wow, I'm new to cardmaking and mever inderstood punches very well. Ironically whilst stocking up i bought 4 border punches on clearance. Boy am I glad I did. Watch out hubby im on love! Im off to watch the punch art playlist. Tfs 🌹
I'm new to papercrafting. Have been collecting punches while building up my "stash". You have given me some wonderful ideas for creating new embellishments by mixing and matching the punches I have collected. Thanks so much to you and Jane for taking the time to put this series together!
I am so glad I came across this video! I had no idea that there was so much to learn about punches. they seem so simple, but when I watch the video I sure learned a lot and now I will know what to do when I'm trying to buy one and what to look for. thank you so much
Just started building my collection. I bought a border punch, its so cute and a 2" hole punch. And you will be so proud I got them both on sale. Thanks for another great class! Hugs and prayers, Neasie
Thank you for sharing this. I am very new to paper crafting . I purchased a few Martha Stewart punches but I accidentally purchased one of the inserts for a system but I don't have the system so the punch that I bought is useless. I purchased all of my punches at my local thrift store. ( this was my first paper crafting purchase) I really need a paper trimmer and score board and punch board (my wish list keeps growing) thank you have a great day.
Thank you for doing this video Maymay. I have pain in my hands but I want to try punches and now I know I should try the lever ones first. I appreciate you, you're a great teacher!!
Thanks for the information. I am new to this kind of craft. I learned a lot from this video. I like to make cards for special occasions for my family and friends. So I have purchased some punches. I have to take a look and see what else I could use them for. Many blessings.
MayMay you and Jane are so awesome. I feel that I am finally getting the classes that I could never afford. I am self taught and now you two are my teachers. Thank you 100 times. Hugs Rasheeda
Awesome video..love the button punch.. going to have to run out and get that one. I bought the butterfly one from Martha stewart that did the embossing and thought it was broken..i took it back. You sure are right about reading the packagine, but i sure misunderstood the wording..lol. Thanks for all you do.
That butterfly punch is really pretty too. Maybe you can replace it someday, thanks so much for watching all my videos Jessica, I appreciate it so much!
Great Job!! I do the punch book but I punch them out and then laminate them with the name of the punch so if I looking for a punch to use on a project I can look through and and hold them up to your paper to see what the punch looks like. Thank you so much for the work you put in on this basic video.
I love punch art too Amy, and I love punches because they are fast. Sometimes I just don't feel like using the electronic die cut machine and just want to use my stash that doesn't require electric. lol It's fun to craft the old fashion way at times. Thanks for a another great video Amy!
This was my favorite video from the series so far! I remember back when you did the masculine cards, I went out and grabbed the Martha Stewart button punch. I love it! That snowflake punch looks awesome. I also never knew how to work a border punch lol... Great video!
I have to say this one was my fav too, I just love punches. I was at Michael's the other day and I found the most beautiful border punch on sale for $5.99 marked down from $16.99 and I almost talked myself out of that! I am such a tight wad! My hubby actually said, "would you just buy it! That is a great price!" Sometimes he cracks me up!
Oh My Gosh! You just opened a whole new world for me!!!!! :) I am so excited to start a punch collection now!!! I have never seen anything like these at TJMaxx- I am going to look for sure now! My husband is going to go crazy!!! LOL
I love punches too. I am limited in buying them because of storage issues. I only buy the absolute can't live without it. Have to say I am getting the button punch. My favorite is the cloud punch.
I would like to see a presentation on how to use the diagonal lines and semi circles on the self healing mats. They have a outpost , but as crafters we tend to using it for cutting and perhaps measuring on the grid. I would appreciate it and I can grow.
Seems I'm always behind in times, since apparently your discount code for Cricut is either outdated or has been deactivated. Oh well, at least I'm having fun watching your videos! I'm so glad RU-vid doesn't deactivate older videos or I'd have little to watch for educating myself!!! Thanks so much for your help!!!
Thank you for this, I didn't know you could do all that with punches, especially border punching like in the video in your playlist. Very interesting. Debbie :)
MayMay, I have to say, if your videos and Janes had been around when I first started into crafting, you may have helped me spend less on certain items (or NOT! ;-) The tiny cupcake is too cute! TFS! ~Jeanne
Well, look at it like this, now you have some really cool tools you probably wouldn't have bought if we had been around either! Glass half empty or half full! LOL! Thanks so much Jeanne!
Well I've learned I need to go shopping. Love the button, the snowflake, the snowman is a must (my name) I have a book, and it has listed, my cricut cartridges, (get image online), my embossing folders, my nesting dies, and actual punchouts pasted. I take it when I am shopping so not to duplicate. I have my online playlist of "I wants" but often print pics of things I want to look for use with coupon....dee
Great video! I didn't realize that some of the punches also emboss. I've been thinking about the button and the owl. Now that I know they emboss I'm going to get them for sure! And the semi punches look interesting too. I just started following you on pinterest. I'm definitely going to check out those videos you linked in your info bar.
Great video, Now I have a ton of info when I go to buy a new punch. My collection is small, because like you I buy what I find on clearence or super good sale price. I refuse to pay $20 for punch. TFS Denise
This is such a great tutorial. I learned a few things I didn't know about a punch. They way you presented the tutorial was excellent. But, WOW... how do you talk that fast and keep up with yourself? ...lol ;) tfs ~~MarieMac~~
Can you please tell me the name of the punch that makes the flowers? I recently purchased my very first punch by Martha Stuart .. it's 3 small flowers like a border and really cute but I am looking for more 'flower' options. My Michael's does not carry many punches or dies so I've been searching online but don't know what to look for.. Thank you in advance :)
kandi neff sorry for the delay in responding, this comment went to spam for some reason? Anyway, it is made by EK Success this link is it on Amazon, goo.gl/dfq17v Hope that helps.
I have bad punch luck. Everyone I have purchased has inevitably gotten messed up. Most of mine are ek success and they get stuck badly. The heart three ways punch jammed almost immediately. Dropping it on a surface to release it only works for so long . Lol
Great job, . I also agree with homeschmomof4. Wish these had come out a little soon., but it is never too late! Thanks for another great tutorial...Bobbie
