Since I work from shade to highlight I think it's natural to start with black. Everything is working dark to light. Hot glue gun.

i think just a plain brown hat with a pink band as an accent would have been better. with hats, i think matching precisely with the outfit looks kind of "overmatched".

Just one question. To get that textured look to the clothes, like jackets with fold, and especially the detail on the buttons, do you use the "prime - base coat - wash with ink - layer 2 lighter colours - dry brush technique? Or do you dip them in a quick shade? Or do you paint every detail minus a wash? Great painting, BTW, couldn't help but notice the attention to textured detail like the buttons.

Fantastic work my friend. You're a true artist, it has to be said. I pretty much rely on "talent in a bottle" to get even slightly close to something that looks how I would really like it. How long have you been painting, if you don't mind me asking?
