SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CELEB INTERVIEWS! Emmy-Winner Jake Hamilton talks with the stars of THE BATMAN -- Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro and director Matt Reeves.
Jake, from Jake´s Takes: "Hey, I know what would be a great idea! Im going to start the video with all the parts where the actors talk about how GREAT my questions are! I bet it won´t come of as self-congratulatory and bragging at all! :D:D"
Listening to Matt Reeves is like listening to a professor of Batman. The man just knows everything there is to know about the character and the wold of Gotham.
I don't want this movie to overstuffed bunch of things. Turturro is a great casting for Falcone, I think they're gonna save him for a sequel, this movie will be a little bit set up for him
@@15Candles Matt Reeves is setting up Gotham's larger world and deeper lore, but I doubt all these characters will have prominent roles to the point where the movie feels overstuffed.
Paul Dano is the most underrated actor out of all this cast. He's amazing, I can see his Riddler performance will definitely boost his popularity. I still think he should've been Oscar nominated for his performance in There Will Be Blood
He really is, he makes me want to almost check out the Swiss army man. Almost lol Well I probably would really like it tbh. Daniel Radcliffe is well known but he’s got some great stuff like Robert in the independent film industry and watching him portray a farting dead body would at least be interesting for a few moments lol
I love how Rob is just giving Paul praises all around. And on that note, I love that YOU told Rob how incredible it was to follow his journey from all the Twilight success to The Batman Success. I’ve follow Rob since Twilight and I remember you interviewing him back in those days, you were always so nice. Thank you for always treating him as the talented actor he is.
Paul Dano as a Zodiac killer-inspired Riddler is the most I've ever been excited for an actor playing a comic-book villain, his performances in There Will Be Blood and Little Miss Sunshine alone cemented him as one of the best supporting actors in the industry.
Paul 'creepy' Dano. Why are you excited about it, lol?! Right, I'm a thespian, lol. Have you ever acted? Well, I have so you can't say anything. He does creepy well and that's it, alright! Look I'm sorry to pick on you but, you know, someone had to incur my wrath today on RU-vid, so. Lol. Good day.
As expected I knew Rob would do his usual “Hand in his hair thing” and giggle at everything. Rob is so chaotic and funny you wouldn’t think he’s Bruce Wayne lol he’s the total opposite here. And Zoe is so well spoken.
The interviewer asks questions so brilliantly that they can make montage of the actors saying "That's a good quetion". Not many interviewers are like this
The interviewer asked the most pointless questions and he asked the same pointless question 3 TIMES. He asked them that question about watching the movie wit the actors that had payed that character before them as asking said actors what they thought of how THEY played the character its such a pointless question on so many levels. And then the question where he asked dude of why he thought it had takes so long for a Batman movie to have the point of view of a detective. Well obviously that isn't what the directors wanted to do with the story such terrible questions. And actors ALWAYS say that's a good question. But when he asked Paul that question he asked 3 times Paul said what a crazy question u could tell he thought it was a terrible question as well.
14:18 Matt Reeves understands Batman so well, even his Gotham is articulately designed and faithful to how Gotham SHOULD look like: a gothic, art deco nightmare with tall buildings that's an amalgamation of different big US cities but retains its own identity, not a generic modern-day Chicago.
Nolan pulled it off really well in Batman Begins, then gave up on it after that. Hopefully Reeves sticks to his guns and doesn't ret-con the look of Gotham in the next one.
I love the casting choice of John Turturro as Falcone. Depending on his fate in the movie, I’d be interested to see his character in a sequel that focuses on the Long Halloween storyline.
I don't want this movie to overstuffed a lot of things. I'm sure they saved some characters for the sequel. This is just a small set up for the supporting characters especially Penguin
He could appear as a possible antagonist in the Penguin TV series in development. There is always have been a rivalry between The Penguin and Falcone in Batman lore.
Bro it's so relieving to hear even if it's just from him so far. I haven't been this excited for a movie since endgame and I just want it to be great so badly lol
I’ve been watching Jake’s interviews for enough time now to know that him complimenting the movie this much is a reaaaally good sign for the quality of the movie
He's an interviewer talking with actors on the movie so I wouldn't put much bet on that. However, many who've seen the movie early have shared similar sentiments.
Is it just me or every time I see Paul Dano somewhere, my brain instantly projects a picture of his "beaten to a pulp" face from Prisoners. Just makes me sad for no reason 😁. Hands down, one of the best actors of modern cinema. ✌🏻
Love Jakes interviews. He’s always so gracious and appreciative but goes out of his way to ask the most intelligent, introspective and unusual questions! I see you and appreciate you🥰
I love that Jake mentioned Corey because his portrayal is so underated to me. It was so well fleshed out and he was the perfect combo of camp and dark. 🙏🏾
the question about advice rob and zoe would give to future cast members really made me happy cause i realized there are legit youngsters out there who will grow up on Rob as Batman 😭😭🥰
So damn nice to see someone ask really interesting questions that the actors appreciate being asked because they're so used to being asked the same group of questions like "which actor was your favorite Batman? over and over again.
*FANTASTIC INTERVIEW! SO HYPED FOR THE MOVIE! I FUCKING LOVE ROBERT PATTINSON, ZOE, PAUL DANO, AND MATT REEVES, THIS LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL, GREAT CINEMATOGRAPHY AND SCRIPT.. LOOKS DIFFERENT. YOU ARE AWESOME JAKE..*
Would have been cool to hear what Matt Reeves would say about watching The Batman with Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher and Zack Snyder as well
John Turturro and Colin Farrell were the 2 most stand out performances for me. Cos I couldn't recognised either of them till much later. Colin, I couldn't recognised obviously from the Makeup but Turturro wasn't his usual over the top Comedic loudmouth that he is usually cast as. Brilliant performances all around. The batmobile revealed and Car Chase was the icing on the cake. Opps I said Icing, looks like Mr Freeze will be in the sequel. Gonna called that out now ! 🤣😂😅
this is such a fantastic interview!! such great and unique questions that expand on the typical press questions. Also love how you included the Gotham actors in questions, they don’t get recognized as much as they should
What an amazing interview! If Jake says it’s a masterpiece then I can’t wait for it ( well we’ve always known that tho 😂) I rlly believe this movie will be phenomenal and so distinctive from the other batman movies. I’ve been following this movie since 2018, now it’s almost at our hands ladies and gentlemen. THE BATMAN
Jake Hamilton, sir, it was such a great interview and it is obvious how Rob was moved by your last compliment, congrats! And, I don't know how much more charming and funny Colin Farrell can be with these interviews, lol. Side note: Reeves also said "Two-Sides of the Same Coin" lmao.
well, the riddler as zodiac killer has been around for a while. at least 2007 or so as that’s what many fans were hoping nolan’s dark knight was going to be. i remember the forums.
Please, stop with this. Reeves is a filmmaker who happens that have incredible knowledge of that particular universe. He wouldn't like to see another cult starting like some Snader fans did which some are toxic some are not.
John tottoro is like Adam sandler to me. I've only seen him in Transformers and that's the type of comedic actor he is to me ever since. Excited to see if he's a serious character in this movie and how he plays it.
