I read an interview where Matt Reeves mentions that the brooding Bruce Wayne was intentional. He said that he wanted for the audience see Bruce before he develops his "public" personality. You have to remember that Batman is really who he is. "Bruce Wayne" is the real costume he wears. I think this is a very interesting approach as its never been done on film.

I loved how this movie accurately depicted a year 2 Batman. An undeveloped Bruce Wayne persona, a work in progress gliding cape, people being confused if he’s on their side or not, and him understanding that he needs to be more than just vengeance to save Gotham.

I too have wondered why anybody would live in Gotham. And then someone pointed out to me scene where Bruce looks at Selina's mail and sees her rent bill. That apartment is $400 and some change. All the crime and violence makes the city cheap as hell so apparently most folks think the low cost of living is worth possibly being jumped and robbed every time you go out

I love that Batman has the capability to silence his footsteps, but he announces himself with his footsteps and appears broodingly. That following the opening monologue gave me chills. One of the best theater experiences I've had. Robert really has aced the Batman role.

This is such a good movie man. I was so happy I saw this in the theaters. We finally have a Batman that ACTS like a detective. I liked that even though he acts more like a detective, he is still making mistakes which shows that he is not there yet. Same with his skills in combat. Dude still can kick ass but was taken damage. I also LOVE the batmobile the more I watch it. The sound on that thing was insane!

I was rocking with this Batman movie a lot. The shots, settings, color, action, music, tension, tone, costumes, the monologue, dialogue, and the horror element. Battinson is THE Batman I do not want to approach. Gonna need that Sequel ASAP.

I'm reallyyy looking forward to the next installment of this particular Batman franchise. I absolutely loved the detective aspect of this story and Bruce not really knowing how to be an effective Bruce Wayne yet. Everything about year 2 Batman is a positive for me. I'd like Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy to be the main antagonists for the next film, and I'm also hoping for a couple year time skip so Bruce can continue to develop as Batman and Bruce Wayne🙌🏾

What I like about this movie is somehow they made the Riddler an actual menacing enemy and then when his face was revealed they made him look like a reddit/4chan user. I am thankful that I watched this at home because I almost died laughing at the scene where he was thanking the stream for tips.

I still remember hearing the bat mobile reveal scene in the cinema is one of the greatest movie moment in my life. The sound rumble the whole seat and it's just perfect in cinema.

I'm surprised if they can understand what's going on in the movie with all the laughing every 10 seconds

Robert Pattinson is no longer the dude from Twilight, he is THE FREAKING BATMAN!!! This is perhaps the most faithful adaptation of Batman from the comics I have ever seen. Especially if you read Scott Snyder’s run of the comics with The Court Of Owls, which fingers crossed 🤞 we get in the next movie. And I especially loved that not only did he stop a mass shooting (especially now that sadly in America they are almost commonplace) and beat them to a pulp, but also showed he doesn’t just have to be a punisher of criminals, but a savior of the innocent.

Riddler had Batman backed into that corner when he thought he figured him out soon as he realized he didn’t he started getting confrontational 🤣

You guys should definitely do a reaction to Batman: Broken Promise. It's a 15 minute animated film here on RU-vid that; in my opinion, is the best piece of Batman Cinema I have seen. It's expertly crafted and feels like a more mature version of The Animated Series. I'm sure you homies would love it!

They didn't play this card at all, but I almost wish the police just assumed Batman was working with the Riddler after he delivers that sinister Riddle to Jim Gordon. "Who's the mustache with the broken nose?" And Gordon can't just say, "He was asking about Kenzie being in the Iceberg Lounge." so the Godfather cop could just be like, "That's a RIDDLE! The Moustache-With-The-Broken-Nose was YOU, GORDON! You idiot!"

When you realize all of this could have been solved in a day if Batman considered the angle of the pictures he got of anika and the cop leaving the iceberg lounge.

A great thriller/detective Batman story, fed through a lens which wasn't a million miles away from Alex Proyas' THE CROW.

I know a lot of people are confused or upset that we got more Batman in this movie than Bruce Wayne, but the real Bruce Wayne died with his parents and the Playboy Bruce Wayne is a mask that Batman has yet to form because the wound from his parents' death is still fresh. This movie is showing us where Bruce is psychologically and that Batman is who he actually is. Also I didn't see any problem with the ending because it literally showed Batman's character to a tee, and his dedication to Gotham. Batman wants to terrify the criminals, but that Subway scene showed us that he's not only putting fear in those that are doing crime but also the citizens that he wants to protect(which is why the woman running for Mayor and the civilians were hesitant to reach out to him when he was trying to get them out the water). At the end of the film, Batman realizes that Vengeance isn't going to solve anything. He has to become a symbol of hope in order for Gotham to change and survive. He is willing to not only sacrifice his life, but his personal desires for the sake of Gotham. Hence Catwoman's line " your already spoken for." Referring to the city Robert is my Batman. This movie is also THE best Batman film simply for the fact that they got Batman right

I like the juxtaposition of Batman, in the beginning of the film, talking about how he is darkness. Then at the end of the film he is literally holding a light (flare) and becoming an embodiment of hope.
