I love my RX8. It isn't known for its speed. It has a reputation for being slow, but it's not that it's super slow. You have to really know how to drive it to appreciate it. I've driven on different tracks in California a bunch of times and it is soooo fun. The cornering is amazing. Keep it above 5000 rpm and it has decent torque. Like I say, you have to know how to drive it to appreciate it.
lol! to the people who say this is "rice" or " a waste because of no modifications to the engine' must be children, or such fanboys of street racing that they dont see outside the box. This guy looks like he is not a racer, he likes the speed it offers and likes da look and likes to feel fresh obviously. Also he looks like a family man by the way he's talking. So try and see outside the box... This guy is chillin, im 23 love the rx8, think it should be hooked up, but then again its his vehicle and i respect his vehicle...its fresh, fast or not. Remember not everyone is like "you".
50 years from now if this car is still in this condition it'll still be the nicest car on the road. beautiful, well put together, as long as you can keep upgrading the technology in it i'd say keep it forever.
looks clean as hell that is no rice with money well spent, genuine mazdaspeed kit is killer..the rims are super clean also & fit the car & black theme right
absolutely beautiful. I've had my black rx8 called a batmobile more than once too and mine is all stock. You have basically the same set up i want to get.
That's pretty much the look I went for when I started putting parts on mine, except I have a borla exhaust, and no interior upgrades, because I gave zero shits about interior- I felt the rx-8's was already nice enough. I would like a bluetooth receiver so I can play music, instead of using cds lol.
"I got a sports package"? Wtf! Every Rx8 is sports, plus, they don't even cost all that much. I got a used '06 model for 8995$ with 58,000 miles on it. But 28 grand? I think thats bullshit, or this guy must have been ripped off pretty good.
Rotary engines - the main reason I stayed away from the RX-8 because not many shops in my city town on them and they're expensive to maintain. Went with a 3 instead.
Actually it's not because of different paint but because the material is different (they all look like that, no matter what color you get the car in) IIRC the hood is aluminum while the bumper is fiberglass or something similar
I think, there is no problem with the colourmatch, it looks different, because the angel of the frontbumper and of the hood is a little bit different. It is so by my RX-8 too: In my videos the colour looks different, but in real the colourmatch is perfect. (I also got a black RX-8)
Best mazda rx8 ive seen, looks diferent to the others. Abit to expensive for me, think im gonna just get a evo 5 get a exhaust, turbo intercooler all thats stuff then tune it, my opinion better sounding btter car.
its a clean car. needs some wet sanding but very clean. I just got mine done with a custom carbon kit and fenders. im just glad you didnt get the the lambo doors haha hey what suspension you running?
I REALLY want whatever fog brackets he has, right now I have the racingbeat type II nose fog brackets with my M-1 mazdaspeed replica bumper (same as this one just AM) and i'm happy with them, but i'd absolutely love to have an extra set of foglights though
I have a Mazda RX-8 Shinka Edition. I'm wondering if it is a good idea to modify it. I'm most likely going to keep it the same, but am wondering if it is a good idea to modify.
At the end of the day regarding the engine, if it ain't broke don't fix it, the detailing is well finished and looks factory as opposed to some too fast and stupid replica.
I agree with bynum696 if your going to do cosmetice upgrades to the car but a cold air intake or a trbo in the engine or do something to the engine just don't leave the engie stcok thats a waste of money and time
Beyond exhaust and a tune, there isn't really much you can do to these cars unless you wanna shell out thousands for one of the very few models of turbos or superchargers available (and a turbo with more than about 10 or 12 psi commonly limits the Renesis engine life to about 10k to 15k miles before it goes BOOM). Or you could shell out DOZENS of thousands of dollars to make it a 3-Rotor that drinks gas to the tune of about 8mpg, from what I've read on the RX8 forums. Just not a lot of options for this car. I still love mine though, for the style and the amazing handling. :)
OtherSyde Yeah, you're right. I really wanted an RX8, but for me, I don't think it would be a smart move. I heard that the RX8s have flooding issues if it's too cold, and the gas mileage isn't that great. I really like them, but that's one of the turn offs for me. Lol
SirRockoRARE Flooding issues aren't a huge problem if you've done your research to maintain the car. I've had my rx8 for half a year now and I've had no problems with it! And yeah can't disagree with the fuel consumption statement haha. I agree with OtherSyde, the handling is amazing and the looks you get for driving this sick car makes you feel like the shit :)
chilloutinhell True that! Also, I've never had my 2007 RX8 stall or flood, but then again I live in Hawaii and it's basically never below 60 degrees Fahrenheit here lol. I have a vid of mine in my channel, but mine isn't black with green rims anymore - it's now Chrysler Electric Blue Pearl with silver powder-coated 18x9.5" Konig Lace rims. Once I get my new TEIN S.TECH lowering springs installed I will make a new video.
That's not an authentic Mazdaspeed front bumper. It's missing the black defuser (black plastic piece above grill slot) that covers the car frame and they don't use chrome mesh grills with Mazdaspeed. The rest seems authentic.
Nice 8 but i would have bought an 8 and just dropped a 20b in and bought a rx7 fc for a daily driver for a total of 30k instead of 50k on cosmetic shit nice car
