That was the best thing I've ever seen. The Battle of Hastings is my absolute favorite bit of history to study and chat about...though nobody will actually chat with me about it, so it's usually a one-sided conversation. You are the most adorable thing ever! My favorite line: "Hi guys!" Great job, kids!
Learning about the Norman Conquest when I was 8 years old is what got me interested in history in the first place. I never would have started watching this channel if I wasn't interested in History. So I guess this is full circle?
Very educational. I in particular really needed that reminder to never miss any of my abbey consecrations. Imagine what horrors could happen in the future if I wasn't reminded of this once in a while!
this video is... amazing lmao ? it's absolutely fucking brilliant ? seriously it's one of the best I've seen all month lol it's a fucking shame you guys don't get more views seriously
My ancestor was one of king Harold knights he fought at the Battle of Stamford bridge and Hastings. He was one of the lucky ones that got to keep his lands. after the conquest. Allard is the name. 💯 ❤️🐺🐺🐺⭐⭐⭐
theres a small river in downpatrick , and somehow ,SOMEHOW the vikingboat sank in 4 foot of water and all drowned . they still have the viking boat ,a work of art and yet they travel to irish sea into this river and sunk in in 4 foot of water.... supposed pinnacle of technology ...
Indeed, if you think about it, the Battle of Hastings was the most important battle of English history - Quite literally. Our modern English, full of Latin turnphrases, is heavily influenced by Norman-French rule, and its Roman/Ancient Greek heritage. If the English had won, we’d basically still be speaking Danish, for better or worse. Then again, the Nordic nations seem to have their affairs in order, mostly - So perhaps we would’ve been better off Danish.
