White, sugary sand and space to spread out is what’s attracting a lot of visitors to this little slice of paradise, tucked away in Northwest Florida. FULL STORY: www.wkrg.com/c...
The beach is a public place, open to everyone. Sorry the buyers or developers of these condos got swindled into paying premium for private beach access but they should have done better research first. The beach is and should be open to all of the public.
Public ownership of the beach dates all the way back to Antiquity. The State owns the beach, all of it, not capitalists. Whatever government the State is, it holds ownership of the beach from the lowest waterline to the highest waterline. The new corporate capitalists want to change all that. "Wouldn't it be great if I, as an individual, could own the beach. Just for me, to the exclusion of all others." If it happens one place, it will happen every where in America. The beach is public land for a reason. The reason is, it's in the best interests for everyone. There would be no access to beaches anywhere for Joe Public if beaches become private property.
