It's great because everybody's first instinct is to go for the eggs in the middle, and then they realize that more eggs aren't spawning, and then they realize they can go into other teams' nests, so it rapidly devolves into a mosh pit of grabbing eggs and each other. S tier obstacle course.

Honestly I feel like people that are eliminated in earlier rounds should come back as obstacles or manning obstacles themselves, like in the show American Gladiators. The BM would be so hilarious.

On a round such as the last one, i truly believe it would be more fair for one person to randomly get picked for qualification. Being down a man makes it way more difficult to win
@@Daepilin Or give the extra player some other objective, like maybe the extra person isn't on any team and has to avoid being hit by the balls as the teams play. For other team games come up with similar asymmetrical objectives for extra players.
Technically, he's right. It's a ball from the game called Rugby. The other one is a ball from the game called Soccer. Both are footballs, since they are both balls you kick with your foot. :P

They said it couldn't be done, but the mad lads did it. They created the perfect NLSS game. I just hope the finished game has more minigames and/or modifiers to keep things from getting stale.

Games like "Bombergrounds Battle Royale" and "Fall Guys" self-tag with the "Battle Royale" genre, and most people are fine with that. As such, if you tell someone "this is not a battle royale", you are likely to be misinforming people, since most would call the multiplayer structure of "many enter, one leaves" to be a battle royale. Language changes. Battle royales used to be very samey, and copied the structure of the Hunger Games, and the movie "Battle Royale." However that gameplay style is quite narrow and limited, and many developers are noticing that the core appeal of the genre does not solely rely on shooter gameplay, but rather on the thrill of chasing that chicken dinner. They also notice that it is a style of gameplay that many people who don't like shooting want to get into, but can't due to lack of options. Most players agree that the "many enter, one leaves" structure is the core part of the "battle royale" definition, and as such the most useful thing you can do is use language as it is culturally accepted, as opposed to pointlessly calling people out for using language wrong without providing anything constructive in return.
5:48 is perhaps the most unfiltered and shortest burst of anger I've heard out of NL. It was compressed into a second of rage and then back to normalcy.
I was already excited for this game, and I was even more surprised when I found out that it's going to be one of the free PS plus games in August. They didn't have to do that, but that was just a nice thing to do and I absolutely appreciate it.
Fun fact: Takeshi Kitano (the one, who thought up Takeshis Castle) was alco cast in the Battle Royale film(as they thought of him as the real world reflection of a similar game format, except not murder)... We have come full circle with making a br game based on Takeshis Castle.
Oh God I hope this is on the NLSS for the next five years. This video was great, and there is SO MUCH potential for endless content, both from the game and the streamers.
this is the first Northernlion video I've ever seen and i'm sad to say i can't watch ever again. i was sharing in his excitement and loving everything right up until the end when he was playing soccer, his team was down a man, and instead of helping his 3 teammates when both balls were deep in the other team's area, he stood back to play goalie. seriously, everything after 29:10 is just me yelling at the screen to go help his teammates score.
Not only would this be a fantastic NLSS regular segment, but it would be great to see you keep playing it to some extent on the channel. I'm also getting BIG Golden Goblet vibes.
Its said that a bucket of crabs will never have an escapee, because any time a crab tries the other crabs will pull them down to try and escape themselves. This is a perfect definition of the seesaw game.
