Okay so maybe this is just me but, one of the reasons I REALLY disliked Elle was because she always seemed to be condescending to Reid and always treated him like he WAS weird. Whereas Emily always tried to be interested in what Reid had to say or could do. But that’s one of the main reasons I didn’t like Elle.

Theory: The reason Hotch didn't yell at Reid for the "phsics magic" is because he is the 'youngest child' of the group or as so many people have stated 'the baby brother of the group'. And as all of us older kids know, parents are NEVER mad at the youngest (and when their at the 'toddler stage' [meaning adult jokes go over their heads and they do crazy expierements] even the older kids can't be TOO mad). Younger kids can get away with murder, so why should it be any diffrent for the BAU family. Plus that little half smile on Hotch's face is totally the 'aww my kid did something ridiculously adorable' smile. That smile was also on his face watching Jack's first steps. Edit: Their family name could be the "Bauman's", get it? (Pronounced: Bow - Mens) Edit 2: Besides who can be mad at that cute little smile? Edit 3: Reid's behaviour after Gideon leaving was Reid's rebellious phase that he missed out on.
