Well, the Baybridge just went dark, we enjoyed 10 years of having the lights on and here is the story of what has happened. Like many, you may be wondering why the lights went out on the bay bridge tonight.
Originally they were installed for the 75th anniversary of the bay bridge by a nonprofit known as Illuminate that does large scale public works throughout the bay area. the LED lights were originally only in place for a few years, but people loved it so much they kept them up. Due to rain fog heavy winds at all the elements the bear has to offer the lights of slowly been failing. Contrary to most peoples belief that PG&E bills have gotten too outrageous, it’s purely failing lights that are causing the bridge to go dark. The nonprofit is looking to fund raise $11 million so that in September hopefully for Labor Day they can install and have already the new lights which will light up both the north and the south side of the Bay Bridge!
Many people lined up after the rain stopped to watch the lights go out a little after 8 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 .

I did sing parts of Lights by Journey… not well but I did at the end of this.
