Biological male, which is all that matters when it comes to fairness in sport. Identity is an entirely different, entirely personal thing, which is quite frankly not anyone's business and should never have been this massive issue (the IOC should have better rules and should support sex testing, because this has been a horrible mess for ALL of the athletes involved and could have EASILY been avoided).
He's a man and he has no business boxing with females. I don't care if he didn't learn he was male until puberty. It's pretty bloody obvious now. Being permitted to literally beat women in sports is NOT a valid 'consolation prize' for men with DSDs.
In men’s boxing, there is a reason for weight divisions- for example, Naseem Hamed would not belong in the ring with Lennox Lewis. Boxing is dangerous. More than 2000 people have died in this sport so putting a boxer who is biologically male in the ring with biological females is absolute insanity.
Not really. She goes back and forth between being a biased biologist and political advocate. I agree with a lot of her political advocacy, the problem is she’s producing horrible biological arguments to support it. She’s blinded by her own ideology. Intersex isn’t about identity, it’s about how to classify anomalous cases, and the biology has gray area that Emma is either not fairly acknowledging or is being disingenuous. I just think she’s blinded by her ideology and thinks biology has definitely solved the problem of classifying people with DSDs. It hasn’t, doesn’t and can’t. You’re brainwashed and deceived b/c the interview didn’t have a PANEL of biologists with varying opinions on the biological issue. Having just one biologist makes it look simple and uncontroversial. Wrong. You’ve been misled.
@@RC-qf3mp I've tried posting a question to you, but YT keeps on deleting...odd, not asking anything controversial,.only if you're a biologist yourself? If you are, can you give us a counterpoint to what Dr Emma states please....because she really does not come across as somebody with an agenda. I've read what you said, it seems you have a problem with what she is saying, so if you could give us your counterargument, that would be great
Emma Hilton is a joke and really off-topic.. Imane Khelif is a woman. (1) She is from Algeria, a deeply conservative Muslim country with an openly anti-LGBT and anti-transgender agenda. I know, I lived there. They would have never endorsed a transgender athlete just to win a medal. (2) Imane lost fights to other women (those women probably need to be interviewed by a creep like Andrew gold. (3) Women with "masculine" traits have always existed. It's well documented in history and anthropology. Imane is no different. That does not make her a man. You guys should read a little
@@janet5846 Emma literally is a political activist in a group that focuses on advocacy. So she’s biased, publicly. As for the biology… there’s a long list of dimensions that can be used for sex differentiation an and categorizing by sex: gamete, gonads, chromosomes, hormones, internal genitalia, external genitalia. People with DSDs can have a hodgepodge of male and female across these dimensions. No one standard of what counts as male or female is compelled by the biology. It’s arbitrary what standard is used for people with DSD. There is gray area to nature in many sciences, and it’s arbitrary how to classify anomalies within the gray area. It becomes arbitrary line drawing. Emma makes it seem crystal clear as if there’s biological consensus. False and misleading.
Andrew, Emma is a renowned, respected, capable, truthful scientist who will clearly articulate, without prejudice, the science around this subject. I am so grateful you got her on your show. We need to be able to talk about this without fear of being silenced or viciously ridiculed.

1) I box and know that there had been complaints about Imane Khelif for years. This was before the IBA tests and their involvement. Female boxers, coaches, and boxing organizations filed complaints about Khelif being a man ever since he started in the adult womens boxing circuit. Look at his fight with Brianda Cruz from a year ago. He almost massacred her, and he's walking into her punches without flinching and with his guard down. He's not afraid of Cruz and can withstand her punches. He's also holding back a lot. That's a red flag. 2) This was handled privately initially. The IBA tested twice and found Khelif was a biological man. Khelif was given the opportunity to retest at the IBA's expense. Khelif refused. Khelif could have appealed and did so initially and then dropped the appeal and so he was banned from the world championships. This was over a year go when these tests were done, so Khelif knew about his genetics at least in 2023. 3) Khelif applied for the Olympics anyhow despite the genetic tests and despite being banned from the World Championships. The IBA sent a letter with the test results to the medical team for the IOC a year ago to warn them about Khelif. This was not done publicly, but a private letter with the test results. The IOC didn't respond and allowed Khelif in. They said they only use passports to verify biological sex. 4) When Khelif boxed Carini and Carini didn't last in the ring because her nose was broken and she was bloody, people knew Khelif was a man. His build, the blows to her face, and blood within 46 seconds are red flags of abnormal strength. The IBA was then forced to do a press releae on their website saying they told the IOC a year ago, and Khelif knew a year ago as well. This was now a safety and dangerous game that the IOC and Khelif were playing. 5) The IOC president, Thomas Bach, did a press conference and disregarded the IBA and their results. The IOC said they don't do testing at all. They only look at the passport. The IBA was then forced to do a press conference in Paris because Khelif was getting ready to fight more women and potentially seriously injure or kill a woman. Even the VP for the World Boxing Organization came out and said Khelif and several others were biological men. 6) The IOC has done nothing (not one single test) since and allows Khelif and other biological men to compete in a woman' s boxing competition. Khelif and his team try to drum up sympathy and do interviews and bring more attention to their so-called "private" situation. If it's private, then why does Khelif do interviews and constantly post on social media about it? 7) Khelif dresses, walks, talks, and sits like a young adult man. Khelif literally wears men's suits, clothing, and jewelry. It's so blatant, and Khelif posts pics on his Instagram flaunting it. He doesn't care because the IOC isn't stopping him. This is essentially what happened. Everyone knew, including Khelif, and they are not going to stop until a woman is killed.
Thank you for the summary, made the situation very clear. IOC need to be held responsible. The male boxers need to be stopped and any medals confiscated!
Its weird that IOC now dissmissing everything IBA presented as "CoRrUpT rUsSiAnS" bogeyman yet those corrupt Russians are apparently the only ones who care about facts and womens safety 🥴 inclussive and fair western civilization indeed 🤪 and not to mention the whole double standards on who US is allowing to compete at the Olympics lol
@therian_forever12 Yes. I don't see how people can't see that Khelif or Yu-Ting are men unless they are blatantly trying to ignore their instincts. Even if you don't believe they are men, you have to know that their bodies and strength for women are highly unusual and should be cause to investigate further. But again, I just know that there were several complaints made about Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting years ago. This wasn't new to the IOC, IBA or WBO. This has been brewing for years because a lot of female boxers, boxing coaches, and organizations did have concerns that biological men were entering adult women's boxing competitions for the past few years.
In my opinion, if a female athlete gets hurt by an XY individual in the Olympics, the individuals in the IOC responsible for this should be held criminally liable.
@@oceonbluNo. Hermaphrodites have both male and female genitalia. The issue is having an external vagina with internal testicles and high testosterone. A freak of nature, apparently.
More shocking is that those persons, at least the highest level, so interested in feelings, are bred in their (SRA) families in a terrible way aimed at destroying empathy.
Oh thank goodness, Andrew. I watched an interview where no one really let her speak, and it was when I DESPERATELY needed to hear her speak about this. So excited, thank you!
1. Khelif was born with xy chromosomes with DSD 5-ARD deficiency.. Internal testes and no ovaries ... As such, Khelif was misassigned at birth as a female .. same as Caster Semenya and Brittany Griner ... 2. When Khelif reached puberty, his xy chromosomes kicked in (specifically the y chromosome) releasing normal male levels of testosterone from internal testes and resulting in all the attributes associated with being a male (muscle mass, bone density, lung capacity, larger heart, broader shoulders, deeper voice, etc) .. just look at the video of Khelif walking around Paris .. major broad shoulders and a typical male gait .. 3. In 2023, Khelif was banned by the IBA for not meeting the female division sex requirements .. ie. Not having xx chromosomes ... Khelif initially appealed this decision but then abandoned it .. when a simple cheek swab would easily prove whether Khelif was xx or xy ... The fact Khelif chose NOT to fight the IBA ban or take this simple test is very telling, if not damning .. hiding behind a dubious passport is not proof of anything.. 4. In 2024, Khelif decides to compete as a woman in the Olympics, knowing the IOC has a loophole in not requiring actual proof that women are xx chromosomal.. Instead, a passport will do, which is zero proof at all ! 5. Any empathy for Khelif I had disappeared upon learning he is gaming the system by KNOWING he is xy chromosomal and STILL deciding to use his xy size/muscle/power advantage to beat up xx women .. the power advantage difference between men and women is massive (one paper cited a 162% difference!) .. 6. The IOC banned Caster Semenya in the 2024 Olympics for having naturally high testosterone (but ignoring why this is occurring ie. xy chromosomes) ... yet allows Khelif, Lin, and Griner to compete ... the inconsistency is mind-boggling 7. Algeria should be ashamed knowing full well they are exploiting the IOC's incompetence and willful woke ignorance, instead of actual solid recognized facts and science. 8. Their egregious decision (IOC) could lead to serious injuries, or even death, to actual xx female athletes. It's just insane. The solution: * Cheek swabs for ALL competitors ... * Only XX can participate in women's sport events * Its just that simple
The IOC didn’t ban Semenya. World Athletics is the governing body for athletics, including at the Olympics, and it has strict criteria for eligibility for the female category. Semenya fails to meet those criteria and was banned. But Olympic boxing is controlled by the IOC, because they dismissed the IBA. The IOC chose not to set any biological criteria for eligibility for the female category. They consider the fact that the two boxers have female passports good enough. It’s shocking.
Has this doctor had anything😢 to do with the case other than opinion and conjecture? Ie tests, physical exam and tests. Think of the feelings of the people involved, she was crying in an interview.
No one but Imane knows the 2 results in India and in Turkey. We don’t know what test were run (Karyotype testing and/or hormonal testing). The letter announcing her disqualification from IBA competition was not providing any information.

@@Rudi-xd1bp That is not her problem. It is the IOC making that problem. And can anybody be sure, whether the corrupt IBA tested ALL competitors enrolled as female, BEFORE the World Championship 2023? NO! It would have been very easy to make two tests on the same day; chromosome test (are you a man?) and testosterone test (doping). The IBA just tested 2 competitors DURING the tournament in 2023! There are presumably still more than 2 men boxing in the women's category.

It goes both ways but yes, I agree. The people born female are the ones who are most affected by transgender "women" entering their female spaces from bathrooms, change rooms, sports etc.
I enjoyed listening to your conversations. I'm a doctor, an OBGYN. We have known this DSD for years. Chromosomal defects do happen unfortunately. But the crux of the matter is whether they have XX or XY. XY means male irrespective of how the external genitalia looks like. And they should not participate in XX sports categories. This Paris Olympics is appalling, right from the opening ceremony.

Probably because if you look at other sports (Rugby is a good example), there are considerably bigger biological females than Khelif. Look at the USA 7's player that just made the front of sports illustrated, I am surprised people aren't asking her to prove she isn't a man. Until there are actually publicly available records that you or I can read on Khelif, there will always be doubts because of other women who are physically far larger (and likely also have elevated testosterone or even XY chromosomes, but haven't had a contoversey yet to highlight it).
Outrageous. That is why I did not watch the Olympics this year. The horrible opening ceremony and the biological males invading the women's sports. I don't accept it at all

The entire premise of being “trans” is nonsensical. No human can “know” what it “feels like” to be the opposite reproductive sex because there is not a nanosecond of their existance that they experienced what it is “like” to “be” the opposite sex. Additionally words like “I feel like” are subjective. I have yet to meet a woman who can describe what it “feels like” to be a woman. When asked what they say is, “I have no idea. I’m just me.” Equally, no female can make a sensible for believable claim that she “knows” she is actually a man because she “feels” like one. How would she know what it is to be a biological male? She has never been one. Not for one tenth of one second of her existance even before her birth.

We hope this charade never comes to a death or serious injury, choose good politicians who will deal firmly with these problems in a legal and scientific fashion. This lady, educated in the field of biology, can define such things and courts can lawfully deal with such dangerous activities - if we need new laws then so be it, but usually we already have laws available. Women have the same rights as men - stand up and USE those laws. Using the word "hate" in legal matters, in the context of what people say, hate speech for example, leads to a pretense of being able to read other people's minds which then leads to normal people, being jailed for "thought crimes". So be careful, don't be fooled into the idea of "hate crimes", this is a danger to real justice. There are already terms in the legal sense that will deal with such organizations such as the IOC if their foolish decisions lead to harm. There are legal forms of negligence, refusal to see the danger, not observing duty of care, state of mind during the commission of a crime can be a factor, but the word hate should not be brought into legal situations. Hate is an emotion. Crime is crime.
This is never going to happen. Because there are other dimensions to this than biology. And that is why the IOC was allowing Imane in the competition: Religion and Politics. Somehow this scandal points at two things: a country (a population) and a religion that both have a strong history with France. Do not forget that those olympics were at high risk and that everything had to be prepared to avoid any trouble, riot, plot, terrorist act. Among certain people, saying that she was a man was a crime. They say " She was made a woman" ... by a;l;l;a;h meaning that they only trust what they see and do not believe in the scientific knowledge of chromosomes; excluding her would have had so many consequences for France security. I do not justify anything; I just want to give my opinion about why they let this happen.
This whole thing reminds me of the East German female swimmers years ago. Everyone knew that they were being pumped up with steroids and other drugs. However, the IOC acted like nothing was going on. Years later the truth came out. Now, I've heard that they are thinking of giving non-East German athletes from those years medals as if the East Germans weren't there. The truth will come out about these boxers at some point, but too late to be of service to the female athletes at these game that had to fight against them. The IOC is totally complicit, but acts like they are taking the high ground. It's utterly ridiculous. Btw, I don't trust the IBA statements, but I don't doubt what the actual female boxers are feeling and saying. Something is obviously not fair here.
I'm curious, why shouldn't we trust the IBA statements on this? Some people claim the IBA has an agenda against Khelif for beating a Russian boxer, but what reason does the IBA have to ban the Taiwanese one? Also, doesn't the fact that the two banned atheletes ultimately chose not to contest the ban suggest that the IBA's tests were correct? Furthermore if she is genetically female Khelif could simply just end all the speculation and social media abuse she's receiving right now by releasing the test results and proving the IBA wrong, why doesn't she do that?
Patriarchy and toxic masculinity will always raise it ugly head triumphantly. You just can't get rid of it, however virtuously you try. The trans movement seems to be obsessed with bolstering male privilege while it oppresses women. Well done. I'm so in favour of this.
Nonsense. Both boxers are ‘female’ - if you’re born without a penis and testicles, you’re female. Phenotype over genotype. Furthermore, the Italian boxer CONSENTED to the rules of the IOC and later apologized (rightly). Ironically, you’re infantilizing women by making it seem like they are children unable to provide informed consent on whether to box or not according to IOC rules. And none of the above has anything to do with ‘gender ideology’ - it has to do with the the non-ideological question of whether intersex people such as Khelif are male or female. This isn’t about ‘self identifying as…’ nonsense. It’s about whether a baby born without a penis could possibly be male. Sure looks female to me. Prove me wrong. Dr. Hilton did not.

I'm a fan of combat sports. I investigated before I said anything. I read that Khelif was Intersex. Discussed that if they have an XY chromosome and elevated Testosterone they should not be fighting in the women's arena. End of. Above all it's dangerous for the women. I still got gas lit. Back in 2013 there was Fallon Fox who was a T man and was allowed to fight in MMA. The result was he fractured a female opponents skull. This Dr was excellent.
It could be worse. He could be a completely male. A male weight lifter identified as a female just to beat another man spoiling the sport. He not only won but broke every female record ever. Despite identifying as a female falsely his record stands.
There has to be testing protocols for the Olympics. Protocols based on science - not based on what is on an athlete's passport. IOC trying to be politically correct, while putting women in danger. Women's rights have been thrown out the window.

@@susanbond6798 Agree totally, but this video is about sport and for the female athletes, I am sure it is their biggest concern. I don't think it is nuanced at all. It doesn't matter how female you are in your head, or if some of your body hasn't developed, all the (very obvious) masculine traits you get from having testosterone made in large quantities, by your own testies, gives you a massive and unfair advantage. Its no different to doping. If the IOC can't figure out how to tell males from females, why even bother with doing it? Just lump everyone in together. Going by mindset and passport is just pointless.
How can the IOC be taken seriously, when they let men compete against women - if nothing else, the danger is too great. When ideology trumps reality and women's rights.
When the IOC made the policy that they were going to rely on an athlete's passport gender, they have failed every woman born athlete in the World. Why not have a transgender category where they compete against each other? This was the main reason that disabled athletes no longer compete with able bodied athletes....because it was UNFAIR for them to be competing against each other. the same can be said for transgender females (who have XY chromosomes) competing with biological born females. It is NO DIFFERENT...it is UNFAIR!!!!
They scored an own goal stating that in public. In the UK you can get a passport after a couple years and a legal name change to female and female sex after a coupe years. You don't need to look female. So instep 6 ft giga Chad's next olympics
The simple answer is to allow any transgender to compete in the men's categories. Then no human would have a biological advantage over any other that is genetically and practiced enough to compete at that level and other men already expect the competition to be a challenge so nothing would change for them either.
Welcome to the world of equal rights. From my own personal experiences it's all an unequal radicalization with an agenda to demasculate the porpoise of what it means to even be man. The idea of a famley home is dieing rapidly.

Nmol as a measure isn't that widely used ( it's very common with private/ telemedicine ) but still the internationally recognised and most used measure is Ng/DL ( nano grams per deciliter of blood ). Well you need to know that when we translate nmol in Ng we have 288 Ng/DL and with that my friend no males would qualify for testosterone replacement therapy. So you won't get treatment as a male with those levels but can participate into female competition. Isn't that funny isn't it. Consider that an elite female athlete of 17-27yo range can reach about 80ng/DL while males of the same age goes from high 700 up to 1100ng/DL Also we never hear these people talking about sex hormone binding globulin that barely changes with exogenous estrogen and that's very crucial to the issue ( of TIMs in female sports, not this specific case ) since it's a protein that takes "this much" of the free ( unbound ) testosterone in plasma and directs it to AR the androgen receptors. Oh you're a nurse so you know all about this. Sending love❤
What a crazy world when a man one who has XY Chromosomes can say they are a woman XX Chromosomes. Yet if anyone questions this fact, they are described as being hateful or sexist for questioning this fact!
Because men's sports, like men generally, get dumped on with absolutely everyone and anything. Men don't get their own spaces or sports. Women have been given special treatment for decades and just don't want to give it up.
After everything women have done to society, maybe they DO need to get in the ring with men and get punched in the face? Good on them, really. Good sports!
@@jonahtwhale1779 Wtf are you on about, mate? Women wanting sports to be split into make and female categories is wanting “special treatment?!” Are you “all there?”
Because its needed to maintain their current existence. I've lost a lot of friends because of my stance on this. Good riddance, but a lot don't want/can't go through with it. I think that has a lot to do with people's ongoing use of blinkers
Indeed it does but they think that they can overcome biology and reality with their beliefs. It can seemingly work for short period of time then reality-backed biologically bites them and others solidly on the backside.
@@banedon8087Yes some people choose to live in their own fantasy land. I don't know why MSM panders to it though. If any MSM came out and called out all the BS they would be outrageously viewed and popular.
In cases like this, they claim it doesn't matter. It suddenly does if, for example, one 'identifies as non-binary/agender/whatnot' but still wants to participate. Then they say it's their sex that allows them to, even though it doesn't fit whatever they think is their gender.
So,if a biological male boxer legally becomes a female he can compete in the woman's category in the Olympics, even if he isn't on female hormones?According to the IOC?
Swyer syndrome affects girls who have an XY chromosomal makeup, no ovaries, but functional female organs including the uterus, fallopian tubes and vagina.
XY for male and XX for female is high school level biology. The determining factor is actually one level deeper, ie. the SRY gene. If a person with XY chromosome but the SRY gene is not activated, this person can still develop into a female. Likewise, if SRY is activated in the XX chromosome, a male person is forthcoming. What we need is testing for SRY activation instead of the crude XY vs XX chromosome method.
Women athletes always say they'll lose their sponsorship if they refuse to compete against fake women. But if the real women never win anything, they'll lose their sponsorship anyway, won't they?
Agree. As I woman, I blame female athletes for caving in because they are protecting their career but they are shortsighted because in the long run, the so-called women's sports will just be in name only because these sports will be dominated by biological males whether they are real trans with gender dysphoria or fake trans or intersexed or DSD individuals. Men are different from women in many aspects and not just physical although in sports it is the physical that is taken into consideration.
Ummmmm......look very carefully at all the little V shaped "women" that won all the gold this year. Most women are hourglass, pear or triangle shaped. Do not be deceived.
After the fact that some idiots couldnt answer "what is a woman?" Im not surprised we having this conversation now. Definatelly shows that education system is failing and idiots who prefer feelings to knowledge have taken over
@@ls-l1518she. Even if she might be intersex, that she was assigned female at birth means she probably is genetically mostly xx or x with some abnormalitys maybe. Thats still a woman even of one could argue about eligibility for female events in some cases. Also if she thought the organization is corrupt and she doesnt even have a chnace appealing she might just not bother.
@@alinasmith5737nobody is chromosomes testing if genitalia looks within normal. But they doesn’t mean that’s always correct. But nobody is assigned, and gender identity is not what this is about . Did you even watch the interview ?
Absolutely fascinating and, well done Emma, you are 100% right. If this was one of the other sports, you could just give it time to sort itself out, if that girl is in scientific fact a man, the powers that be are putting women’s lives at risk. The question is, who is responsible for making these ridiculous decisions…who is pulling the strings…???
Didn't one of the head honchos of the Olympics state yesterday that they are not capable of determining what is a man or what is a woman?? This world has gone absolutely bonkers!!!
@@cjade5394 No need for you to eat today or pay your electric bill or wipe your bum either, given how absurdly trivial those are in comparison to war, starvation, and disease. Nor does it matter if your child graduates or fails, or if your car falls apart after 5,000 miles. The entire earth is going to be consumed by the Sun eventually! But we all still deal with, and care about, the smaller things anyway. Despite the Holocaust, or the risk of nuclear warfare. I don't think that's privilege, it's more the human condition. Not wiping your bum won't make war go away, so wipe away even if that feels like a privilege to you.
I just saw the news that the Algerian and Taiwanese boxer won their gold medal fights and both delivered "crushing" defeats to their female opponents. By the way: Taiwan pays $720k for Olympic gold medal, so we can expect a huge influx of males in Olympic sports during the next Olympic games.
I have refused to watch the boxing in these Olympic’s due to the two men winning the ladies boxing. Feel sad for the woman that should have won these medals and have been robbed of them.
The day that men were allowed to box women on the world stage at the Olympics was the day that will never bevable to be taken back! That's was unforgivable to watch a man beat on a woman and get away with it!!
Something people need to accept is that not everyone can participate in everything. If you have an unfair advantage and dont want to compete in the harder catagory then you just dont get to play period. It sucks for them but thats reality. We need to quit bending over backwards for an extreamly small minority.
Amazingly I think you’re the only person I’ve seen say this apart from me lol sports are privileges, not rights, if you’re questionable you just can’t compete unless you can qualify for the men, idk why it’s so hard for people to understand this
Life was even more unfair to those women they were beating. That Italian athlete not only got beaten to shit, but she also endured truly horrendous bullying online. Yet, the only bullying they are calling out is what the two males are getting.
Imam was very gracious. If she is intersex then it’s a conundrum. As a woman who’s larger than the average man, it does happen. Imam is massive. Maybe we need something like weight classes in wrestling for more sports.
@@pnwladyIntersex is an inaccurate term because it implies "neither male or female". This is incorrect. A person with a Disorder of Sexual Development (DSD) is still either male or female.
Some people really are that dumb, yes. But no one can ‘transform’ into a woman, unless by transforming you mean being conceived as female and not dying before puberty. (The puberty is what transforms a girl into a woman.) Sex change is not possible in humans or any other mammals.
Nope, then I can say I identify as a Chinese person because I love chinese people, the culture and food, or for whatever crazy reason, I want to become one...and I am a white South African female.
Yep, In Canada we can be charged and convicted of a hate crime if we refuse to call a person by their chosen (and demanded) pronouns. Now there is another Bill before Legislature to include the same "compelled speech" online. Both pieces of legislation are punishable by a fine and/or jail time. I will take the jail time and the Canadian Govt. can go to H ELL. So in public and in the workplace we are compelled to use those terms and soon we may well be compelled to do it online as well even though the pronoun is a fantasy not based in any fact at all.
We live in surreal times where the ‘official’ voice says the emperor has clothes. God only knows how many people still believe the BBC’s opposite view to the truth.
@@TheBasedArtist the ‘lesson’ in biology does nothing to answer the POLICY question of what standard should be used for determining who gets to compete in women’s boxing. The biology is twofold - there’s the genotype of sex and the phenotype of sex. Intersex people have the genotype of one sex but phenotype of the other. So which standard to use? It’s totally, literally, technically and logically ARBITRARY which standard gets used. Historically, for 99% of human history, the phenotype is used - that means looking between the legs of the newborn to see if there’s a penis and testicles. If so, it’s a boy. If not, it’s a girl. Genital inspection was also used in the Olympics for the first several decades. It got changed b/c women found it invasive. You think the issue is more simple than it is, and the biologist did nothing to address the core problem, because she doesn’t get it. The problem is one of policy, not biology, because the biology is consistent with a phenotype standard as well as a genotype standard, and doesn’t compel one or the other.
@@RC-qf3mp it is simple. XY Chromosomes, you don’t compete with women with XX. The Olympics checking their passport and accepting it is ridiculous. All athletes should be tested anyway. If there is a questionable athlete, they should definitely accept to being tested.
@@toddsutherland1003 Not the russian IBA who runs betting markets, redirected sponsorship to state run company gazaprom, whos undefeated protege lost to Imane and suddenly they called attention to it? Who've been under severe scrutiny for countless scandals like fight fixing and organized crime, who administered an "unspecified test that didn't check testosterone levels" and made claims of "XY" but no mention of the sex determining region (SRY) that would actually be the scientifically agreed upon method of spotting athletic based advantage. They wouldn't have anything to gain eh?

While all this had never been a question 30 yrs ago. Wonder what schools teach about mammals and humans? In an age when every knowledge is at your fingertips in a tiny box.
@@DianaAndersonClarke Schools have stopped teaching kids how to write/read cursive handwriting. Because why should they be able to read historical letters and documents themselves, right? It’s crazy that even such simple things aren’t being taught in school now.
Ah how refreshing; the cool breeze of rational thoughts elegantly expressed by an informed individual regarding a topic that most will cower from these days, especially given the Dr's opinions on her area of expertise (which I absolutely agree with) being so contrary to the gaslighting narrative that is being foisted upon us. I'm now a major fan of the good Doctor. When Andrew was relating the "Something about Miriam" story, my mind immediately started playing The Crying Game theme song as a backing track. First time here, liked the show, new subscriber. Cheers fae Scotland.
I was born on the 60s. As i grew older, I was thinking that the future will give us flying cars, cancer cure etc.. and here we are debating what is a woman. Geez
Well think about it, when were these hermaphrodites ever prevented from competing? As long as they’re not on drugs, they were given a free pass since forever.
Boy, I hear you! Where are the Jetsons when you need them? George and Jane would be shocked! Is the human race getting stupid? It seems what she is talking about very rare.
IBA was there in Paris to stand by their XY claims and did so publicly. If it’s a false test by IBA as claimed by the Olympics committee , why didn’t IOC officials just sue them in court for defamation and misinformation ? Or for that matter, both ALGERIA and TAIWAN olympics sports authorities have the right to sue IBA in court for Defamation and false claims for tarnishing their country representatives in the sports. It’s strange that they are not doing that!
The athletes themselves did not fight the decision to be excluded by the IBA. Yes.. a bit of malice thought but...maybe they did not want to be ' proven wrong in arbitration' as this would be tougher for the IOC to.dismiss. Also knowing that the IOC manages the eligibility for.the Olympics...being disqualified at the world championships and not fight it was the price to pay.
As far as I am informed, Algerian athlete filed his claim against IBA, but then took it back as tge results would have been disclosed to the public. Well, isn't it clear then what this means?
How inhumane it is to put a man to box a female. That’s cruel. The man broke the woman’s nose the force of a man’s blow it far greater than a woman’s. I love this woman. Quite knowledgeable and competent .
The fact that the competitors KNOW their medical condition speaks volumes about their character. A person with integrity and morals would eliminate THEMSELVES from the competition. Instead, they choose to publicly beat (literally) women and call it a "sport".
No, do not boycott the Olympics, fight for testing to preserve the e fair competition as a whole. Fight it by filing lawsuit against the Olympic Committee... Certainly long before the next olympics, or it'll be too late
Paris Olympic Committee is a woke joke on steroids. We all saw the horror of the opening ceremony...and things have been going downhill from there. A hard working woman boxer could get killed by their wilful laxity.

the fact that they are trying to get Emma fired is disgusting, she's a professional in her field doing her job, they just don't like what she's saying. That the f is going on in this world
There are women boxers who hit much harder than Imane . This woman has been boxing ...and losing for years. Only when she finally starts winning do people like Emma spout their uninformed opinion She has NO personal knowledge of Imani's medical history.
