@dcents5458 Bruce Johnston counts, too. Is what it is. They sound good, put on a good show, and enjoy what they're doing. I heard Al Jardine say that Mike's band was a party band (meant to be positive) and Brian's band, as expected, was more about duplicating the studio sound. Something for everyone.
They play a massive variety of venues, as any band should. Fairgrounds and festivals bring in younger crowds. They play 120+ shows a year. They play amphitheaters, theaters, festivals, fairgrounds, ballrooms, arenas, TV broadcasts, private events, partys, etc. Yall need to knock it off with the “Mike’s band only plays county fairs” narrative. It’s ridiculous.
@@NathanRBB First of all calling this The Beach Boys is a big time stretch. It is one original member, one not quite original member and a bunch of guys who have as much connection to the music as an 80's bar band playing at the local Holiday Inn. Second, do you see the Eagles playing such venues? How about The Rolling Stones? Crap, ELO which has a far lesser pedigree is playing arenas. The Beach Boys are one of the most influential bands of all time and they are functionally playing places you would expect to find Donny Osmond.
