One thing I really love about Lights is that she is all for building other women UP. She is a certified legend in this game and she shows the newer bands the ropes and is a great role model for them.

Forgive me for my ignorance, but who is this "Lights"? I'm a 56 year old guy who just loves this band! I've had a warm spot for them since seeing an interview on TV before they exploded, when they opened for the Rolling Stones up near Barrie Ontario. They were probably 20 at the most and seemed genuinely excited and like giddy little school girls which I thought was so heart warmingly sweet and innocent! Had the pleasure of seeing them twice, once in my hometown of Guelph, and once in Kitchener. Great performances! My Mom and my GF can't believe that a 56 year old headbanger who loves Motorhead, Saxon, Dio et al, likes this "girl stuff". I tell them they have to really check out their catalogue! This song is my favorite along with Late Show and many others. Sure, some of it is poppy, but some is kind of punky like the Go-Go's!

Years ago "Strange Love" got me hooked on The Beaches. The Late Show dropped and in my opinion, changed Canadian rock music forever. That album hasn't left my car CD player since the day it came out. Seeing the "Turn Me Loose" cover solidified my love for this band. But now... Now you go and collab with another one of my all time favorite Canadian artists, Lights? This is INCREDIBLE. You are making this Prairie boy's dreams come true. I'm far from over it!!

The impression I get from live clips here and elsewhere, as well as reviews, etc., is that they REALLY kick it live. I missed a chance in 2017, and have regretted it since. Hopefully someday, if this damn virus will leave us alone a bit more.

in the lyrics, they sing about how the fathers of the boys they hung out with always giving punk rock advice and saying how they would do better if they sang less girl stuff? most all of this can be related to from either side sing what you like and if the fans are there, it wont matter. I am a straight guy but I don't have queer hang ups and this music is pretty damn good! actually very damn good I'm kind of having an immature obsession over it in fact 😄
