The Bear is a 1988 French adventure family film directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud and released by TriStar Pictures. Adapted from the novel The Grizzly King (1916) by American author James Oliver Curwood, the screenplay was written by Gérard Brach. Set in British Columbia, Canada, the film tells the story of an orphaned grizzly bear cub who befriends a large adult male Kodiak bear as two trophy hunters pursue them through the wild.

I know so sad shocking near ending, I may remember watch it all time, when I was kid back then, I just got on dvd couple years ago good deal from I buy at goodwill. Yeah pretty much bear going finding his parents, sadly hunter shoot at their parents that scene, he have finding another better place, it was really cute film.

@rj skorenki oh Matt anything about animals getting shot or abused i have a very soft heart and I tear up easliy this doesn't sound like the movie for me

I've seen both sides of the argument with Milo and Otis and don't believe dozens of puppies and kittens died. Put in danger yes, still love that movie.
