"I'm wearing a suit because it makes me feel better about myself" one of the hardest hitting lines in a show that has THAT monologue. Close second is Garrett's "I need you to respect yourself". Richie showing vulnerability and honesty, and understanding that he was shitty to people because he felt shitty about himself, and admitting that if he could feel better about himself he could actually be better, that it wasn't too late, was fantastic. Every Second Counts.
Matty Matheson as Fak is effing brilliant. He brings so much fresh air - this series is packed with amazing performances, but I just love him so much. Such a trooper.
My biggest wish is to get Francie Fak in the present day Bear and Nat's flash back story of the incident from the past in the third season. Comedy gold if she had dated Pete😂😂
You owe it to yourselves to watch "The Blues Brothers." It was made a mere three years after "Star Wars" came out, but it had a budget that was about 2.5 times as large. A lot of cars bite the dust in that movie, and a lot of very famous singers, musicians, and performers are in it, too.
I'm far more annoyed with Carmy this season than I am with Syd. She's giving her all for the restaurant while Carmy is off getting distracted. If he just explained to Claire that he absolutely wants this he just needs to focus on the restaurant for a bit I'm positive she'd understand.
Communication was never his strong suit, not that it’s really his fault, look at his family and how dysfunctional they all are. Let alone communicating with someone you have strange romantic feelings for and all the pressure he’s under and his ptsd and everything else going on.
I keep thinking about the episode where Sydney opened the medicine cabinet and there were like 100 bottles which she grabbed from. I hope most of them were her Dad's. 🙃
Carm annoyed me so much this season. Syd is putting her all into this and she's operating on good faith. She doesn't have a profit share. She's deferring her payment for 6 months while Tina and Ebra are going to culinary school and still getting paid. She's there trying to convince Jimmy to invest more money into The Bear. She's going above and beyond. She's putting so much trust in Carm. To the point where she could get taken advantage of. And he's just out wasting time.
"Wasting time". Guy spent his entire life miserable and drowned himself in work. He finally got some comfort and happiness in Claire, nobody can blame him for getting distracted. It's not like he's out there getting wasted. He doesn't owe Sydney anything.
@@davidm5646 Yes he is wasting time. He shouldn't make promises he can't keep. Stop flaking. Stop putting things off and not delegating them correctly. He's the boss. Be the boss. His mismanaging of his personal life and work life is screwing everyone over. Carm putting things off affected everyone else. He starts wrongly blaming Claire when it's his fault. Claire is managing her life and doing her job. He isn't doing that well. He does owe Sydney (and everyone else) respect. That's what happens when you work with people. If you don't do your part & stay focused, things go wrong.

Carm is bullshitting like his sister house ain’t on the verge of being taken, a whole loan shark is on their ass, IRS on their ass, and everybody in there got bills and family

Sydney's cool, people just can't get over the stuff from last season where she didn't have to admit doing anything wrong. I see where they're coming from, but it's ok to move on.
Moving on is great, but not forgetting that an individual hasn't admitted to wrongdoing is also good. It's hard to grow as a person if you don't confront your mistakes. Like, Carmy was wrong for blowing up at Syd (and Marcus). I also think, given what we know of his traumas and experiences, his response was actually decent... for him. Still not objectively good, but good for what he's been through. He told Syd to get off the line calmly, even after her screw up screwed them all, and only blew up when she didn't listen. Which, to be clear, still makes him a bad guy. They all reacted poorly; it's possible for a situation to have all sides be the bad guy. It's the reconciliation at the end where Syd (and, again, Marcus) drop the ball. Which is why Carmy's character is engaging and fun to root for even in that situation, because he's self-aware, apologizes, and grows... eventually, even if he keeps stumbling. Meanwhile Syd ~explicitly~ shrugged off responsibility, and is then framed as purely a victim. A simple scene of her acknowledging her part with the takeout fiasco is literally all that was needed to fix this. A rare example of bad writing on the shows part, I think.

People talk to friends about their work all the time, and if one of them gives an opinion that changes the person's mind, they don't deserve the kind of treatment Sydney gives Carm here. Yet SHE'S the one saying "Stop, stop!". She's the one who was rude, but its Carm that has to stop himself.
@SweetZombiJesus he's running through ideas with his gf that he isn't running by his business partner until he's already decided what he wants to do. Claire doesn't work in the industry, so why is Syd the last part of the decision making process? If Syd disagrees, is he going to have to call Claire and have them hash it out? Who is he supposed to be collaborating with?
a lot of people (me in included kinda) have been shipping Carmy and Sydney, and while i do love a enemies to lovers, Richie and Sydney are more friends also Richie is like 45 and Sydney is like 25 so the age gap would be weird
I have seen the Pepto in a couple of movies. In "To Live and Die in LA", a character called it, "shit pink cement." It's some thick stuff, but in the movies and tv, the stuff is the consistency of water.

I don't dislike sydney at all but she does seem to get annoying when talking about Claire. Maybe the passive aggressiveness, instead of just being direct. I think her passive aggressiveness makes her seem jealous of Claire(I dont think its the case)
He's literally replacing her as a consulting partner with his new gf who has been eating up his time and keeping him from focusing on what they're trying to build. It's a kind of jealously she's showing, I guess, just not romantic.
What is happening? I went from hate to love with Richy and love to really dislike of Sydney. She is too big for her britches and thinks she's top dog when we all know Marcus is the goat. Still don't trust Claire at all.
I do not like the Claire character at all. The cutesy, smart assy, sarcasm. It’s not cool. It’s not cute. And any appeal that it has runs out pretty quick. this is certainly not a doctor. I would want to turn to in my time of need that’s for sure. I think they chose the wrong actress. And I think they wrote a bad character.

Richie & Syd is such an interesting idea for a couple. That is something I never would’ve thought of, but I’d be totally down for that. I feel like most people (myself included) ship Carm & Syd, which seems like the extremely obvious choice. I know Ayo (who plays Syd) has commented on that, and says that she just wants Carm & Syd to stay friends/buds, and IF the story ever leads to those two getting together; she would want the show to really build up to it.
I don’t see romantic chemistry between Syd and Carm at all, but I hadn’t even considered her and Richie. I’m so down for the enemies to lovers trope in this case!
