it's because he was more jerkish than the norm for Disney parks. this is actually an error from the performer. Disney says you should stay in character but keep up the charm and a certain level of politeness. he was very rude though.

I think Gaston is a narcissist not a jerk. He ends up coming off like a jerk because Belle doesn't see things the way he does. It definitely doesn't make it right at all, but that's what it is. Now, If this is what being in character means at Disney World, then don't take a picture with The Evil Queen because she'll actually give you a poison apple!

but it was not simply being in character. it was over the top plain rude. I will defend cast members pretty fast but this was not what Disney expects from its performers. any other Gaston performer was way more charming about the 'jerk/narcissistic persona they had to put on.

I love how much the characters hug Brian when they appreciate the voices, and they are like the warmest longest hugs because they can't tell him "YOU ARE AMAZING I LOVE YOU" so they convey it with hugs

The one thing I just realized is that the Beast it still the Beast. Shouldn't he be a human prince because in the live action and cartoon he turns back into a human.

I think it's because Adam's much more well-known in his Beast form than human form. If he had maybe been in human form through most of the movie and maybe began to turn more beast-like it could be a possibility, but Adam only has his human form at the end so most wouldn't recognize it and his human form would be a spoiler.

Ranger Fan 18980 People preferred the Prince's Beast form over his human form hence why you be seeing his Beast form more active in the parks than his human form

Frosty Sky2686 no I’m pretty sure he was genuinely annoyed. It’s hard enough to stay in character for kids but do have to really stay in character for Brian is so extra and hard. I’d be pissed myself.
