I love so many George and John songs, and when I really think about it.. it's Paul's bass line that made the song. Paul wrote unbelievable songs too... but there seems to almost be something magical about crafting his bass lines to John and George's songs. John said in his very candid and critical 1980 Playboy Interview right before he died, that despite the fact that Paul bragged that he could play every instrument, there was nothing like his bass. John said he was the greatest rock n roll bass player ever and that every bass player since essentially copied and branched off his melodic movements.

Somewhere along the 60s I discovered that there was actually more than one type of guitar in a rock band. There was a guitar and then there was another type that had only four strings and made a low throbbing humming noise and I learned it was called a bass guitar. Wow, I thought, I love the bass. And like most kids then I thought the Beatles were so cool. One day I asked my older brother "which one of the Beatles plays the bass?". McCartney", he replied. My reaction was "Woa......! Toujours respectueux des titres. Le bassiste est un fan absolu pour une tel maîtrise. En plus , il joue en gaucher.( all brown shoes , une ligne de basse terrible pour un morceau énorme )

Thanks for adding in the fender jazz. The Hofner just has such poor intonation that it is quite uncomfortable to hear up high on the neck due to tuning. Incredible playing again.

I love it all. I wonder why Here comes the Sun King gets passed by. All that octave jumping. Such a pleasure to listen to yet it would be nice to hear the isolated version.
