That sounds incredible. Your vocals are so close to Pauls, it is even scary. Is that a AKG C314 mic? I can't get enough of this video. The playing, the the vibe, the colors, even the cuts and camera movement is a bit like they did it for the Get Back documentary. Outstanding work! PS: In the documentary is a scene that shows Paul coming up with the song. This really blew my mind!
Hey n0x! Thanks for the awesome comment. I'm David (The bass player and singer), I recorded the vocals using an AKG c414 on a Hyper-Cardioid pattern, it was a little risky considering the amazing amount of bleed but I think it actually helped give the whole mix some extra body. I also did the editing and color grading of the video to try and emulate the look of the 16mm Kodak film they used on the Documentary. I love analog shit so I'm pleased you appreciated that extra touch.
@@davidpaysdenn You did an amazing job there! I'd love to see and hear your take on let's say..Monkberry Moon Delight. Will there be other Beatles covers? By the way you should have started twice, telling your band to play a bit faster :D
@@seventeendegree There most certainly will be more covers coming soon! I would also like to release a few of my own songs so we’ll see how that goes. Hoping you’ll be there for the uploads to come ❤️
You thought you could post a clip from the documentary and pass it off as a cover... That's the only logical explanation But for real, nicely done!!!! I love the outfits especially, it's a nice detail you guys did. Keep up the amazing work.
Amazing work! Just perplexed at the use of an electric piano sound so vastly different from the original. It may be the standard Nord setting for the Rhodes, but it is notably tinnier. Why use this?
I absolutely agree! We didn't have much time to sort it out as we recorded everything in a day.. the Rhodes sounds much more 80s than it should have sounded. It we'd have had more time I definitely would've used a more 60s sounding Rhodes. Perhaps a Mark II style.. good ear and I hope you enjoyed the cover nonetheless!
