We recorded some Beatles song solos from 1963 to 1964. For this recording it was used the Gretsch G6122 Country Gentleman guitar plugged into a VOX AC30/6TB. We hope you enjoy it!
Early on, George used chord shapes as the foundation and the basis for a lot of his solos as opposed to using scales. He was emulating Chet Atkins quite a bit and was quite good at it.
0:01 - 0:36 = I saw her standing there 0:37 - 1:00 = Boys 1:01 - 1:29 = Twist and shout 1:30 - 1:34 = All my loving 1:35 - 1:49 = Don't bother me 1:50 - 2:26 = Roll over Beethoven (intro & solo) 2:27 - 2:48 = Till There was you 2:49 - 3:06 = A hard day's night 3:07 - 3:25 = Can't buy me love 3:26 - 3:44 = Any time at all 3:45 - 4:04 = I call your name 4:05 - 4:16 = I'm a loser 4:17 - 4:32 = Baby's in black 4:33 - 4:55 = Kansas city 4:56 - 6:30 = I don't want spoil the party
Great stuff. Especially love all the work that George did with his 12 string RIC. He is certainly one of the original great Guitar heros. Different from Clapton, Hendrix, Townshend, Richards, Beck, Page and Van Halen but certainly belongs in that group.
Superb playing!!🥊🎼. George has such little space on each track with which to shine but every riff still has his signature trademark and talent all over it.x
Love your playing -- great high finger position is getting the most out of those high-action guitars. Those hammer-ons on Hard Days Night on the Rick cannot be easy -- well-done. Great sound on all of these.
GEORGE HARRISON, SE GANÓ SU LUGAR EN LA HISTORIA DE LA MÚSICA, AL SER PARTE FUNDAMENTAL, AL IGUAL QUE JOHN, PAUL Y RINGO, DEL MEJOR GRUPO DE LA HISTORIA, THE BEATLES!!!
George was always my favorite Beatle, I got to see them at the Crazy Cincinnati Rain Delay Show I was 15 years old, oh to have that ticket 🎟 stub. Great job man.
Great video (love how you went through the effort of double tracking the solos when appropriate) but i'm a bit disappointed that you missed quite a few solos: Baby It's You From Me To You Long Tall Sally Slow Down Matchbox You Can't Do That I'll Follow The Sun Honey Don't Every Little Thing What You're Doing I Feel Fine She's A Woman
manit must have been hard to play with no sustain or overdrive back then! sounds so primitive compared to hendrix and cream guitar solos! still Harri was a guitar god!
You forgot Baby It’s You, From Me to You, I want to be Your Man, Money, I should have Known Better, And I Love Her, You Can’t Do That, I’ll Follow the Sun, Long Tall Sally, Honey Don’t, Every Little Thing, Slow Down, What You’re Doing, Matchbox, I Feel Fine and She’s a Woman
No. The pickups are”Filtertrons” and are completely different from any Strat pickup. Also, The semi-solid body of a Gretsch and/or a Rickenbacker create a unique voicing , fuller, deeper and more resonant.
Awesome job!! My dream is to see someone like you, making the introduction of "I want to hold your hand"!! But, exactly as the orinal. I feel that you can!! Every guys that plays that song here, on RU-vid, don't reproduce the exactly TONE!! I can hear this real tone in your playing!!! Please!!!!
